Tres Jolie tag album
Hello everyone - I am back this month with a tag album.
When I saw the tag in my card kit I knew I wanted to make an album with it. This month we had beautiful pink and red images and some fun animals making it perfect for this beautiful album idea. To see how I made the tag album check out the video below. Note the covers and pages are constructed the same way so I only showed how to make one or each.
Step by Step - note I chose my pattern papers and determined the placement before attaching them to my chipboard pieces or white panels.
If you have questions at any time you can refer to the video above.
Cut your paper following the measurements below.
front and back cover - 3 3/8" x 6 1/2"
White for pages - 3 1/8" x 6 3/8" (3)
red for layers on white pages - 2 7/8" x 6 1/8" (2)
pink for layers on white pages - 2 7/8" x 6 1/8" (2)
Paper Rose Sweet Valentine pattern paper - front and back cover 3 3/8" x 6 1/2" (4)
layer for white pages 3 1/8" x 6 3/8" (2)
panel for red and pink layers 2 3/4" x 5 7/8" (4)
Take the pattern paper you cut for the covers and the chipboard tag. Line up the paper with the tag and use a pencil to trace the tag hole onto the paper. Use a 3/8" hole punch to punch out the traced hole.
Glue the pattern paper to the chipboard tag matching the 2 holes. Use a self healing mat and a craft knife to cut the angle at the top off of the pattern paper.
Cover the front and back of the 2 chipboard covers using the same procedure as above.
To make the pages, take one of the white panels and use the chipboard tag and trace the hole. Punch the hole. Use one of the chipboard tags and line up the white panel. Cut off the top corners using a craft knife like in the the photo above. Repeat with the other 2 white pages.
Attach one of the red/pink panels to the white panel. Use the hole punch to punch out the hole. Cut off the corners using your craft knife.
Add the pattern paper to the red panel. Punch the hole and cut the corners as before.
Repeat with all the remaining panels you have. Once you have all the pages and chipboard covers covered, put the album in order as you had planned.
Love Key
Take the Love Key chipboard piece and paint it with Gesso. Let dry. When dry paint with red acrylic paint.
Add the Love Key to the cover using a strong glue. Take one of the red flower sprays and add it to the upper right hand corner of the cover using a strong glue.
Stack your album in order. Take a book binding ring and add the album to the ring beginning with the back cover and working your way to the front. Add some red, pink, white, and gold ribbons to the ring to decorate it.
Here are the pages in order.
The tag album is easy to make using the papers in the Tres Jolie card kit. What a great Valentine idea for someone special.
If you make a project using your kit, make sure you post it on the Facebook page using the link below.
