Tres Jolie 2 page scrapbook layout
Hello everyone - for all you scrapbookers I have a 2 page layout for you.
This month there was a beautiful purple paper to play with. Since I got the scrapbook kit I wanted to make a double page layout for you. Here is what I designed.
Here are the directions so you can create one.
Step by Step
1. Take your flower flourish and paint it with Gesso. When dry, use your ink pad and color with flower with purple and the stem with a dark green.
2. Choose 2 papers that will go together well and cut to 6" x 8".
3. To add some interest and texture, die cut a flourish from a dark green card stock.
4. To add some brightness to the dark papers, cut some gold layers that measure 4 3/8" x 4 3/8". Add 1 gold panel to the top of the page that has the green flourish covering the solid area so only the flourish shows. Add the other gold panel to the lower right hand of the other other scrapbook page. Note - Make sure the flourish is dry. If it isn't, use a heat tool to dry it. Then lay on the panel to determine the placement of the gold layer before gluing down.
5. Cut 2 white photo panels that are 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" and add to the gold panels. Add the chipboard flower on the left side of the page that is plain. Note - my flourish was not dry so I ended up with ink on the photo mat. Luckily it will be hidden by the photo.
6. To bring in the gold from the other panel, add the yellow flower to the lower left hand corner of the photo mat on the left page.
7. Find a die to cut out 3 leaves from a dark green card stock.
8. To tie in the gold from the right page, use some gold ink to sponge on the edges of the leaves.
9. Add the leaves to the flower.
10. To finish off the 2 page layout, choose several butterflies from the kit that goes with the paper you chose and fussy cut them out. Sprinkle them on to your pages.
I hope you enjoyed this 2 page layout and that it has inspired you to make a layout with your kit.
If you make a project using your kit, make sure you post it on the Facebook page using the link below.
