Shine Like a Diamond Layout

Hi, everyone.

Today I'm sharing my layout that I made for the sketch challenge this month:

The twist is Cabaret Life, so I found this amazing picture of a dancer from the Moulin Rouge casino, and came up with this layout based on the mood board:

I started out with using a punch around some of the edges of the green paper and then glued to one of the pink sheets of paper.

Next, I cut up some strips of pink and green paper into quarter-inch strips and then cut the pink strips into shorter pieces to make a paper weave for the background.

I added several flowers from the kit as well as a few flowers from a previous kit.  I added some plumeria chalk ink.

I added some metallic waxes to the metal flowers that came in this month's mixed media kit.  I also added some pearls to the flowers that were from my stash.
