Hey everyone, Kim here. I'm back today sharing my project I made with both the April scrapbook kit and the April mixed media kit. This month the mixed media kit was more about techniques than it was the actual project. So I took my mediums and used them to help me create with the scrapbook kit.

This was a fun project and aside from the drying time, It really didn't take a long time to create. It turned out just like the image I had in my head (how often does that happen).
How about some close-ups?
I used a 10 inch embroidery hoop for the frame. I covered it in the opaque crackle from the MM kit, then I used the black soot oxide spray to paint it. The crackle fell off on some parts, but that was fine. It adds to the distress look.
The photo is from the kit. It's one of the postcards. The frame is from the store, you can get it
here . I used the same technique on all the chipboard on this project.
Under the floral cluster is some lace that is from my stash. The chipboard piece is from a previous kit, but is also available in the store
here. I cut the chipboard in 2 pieces to use in different places.
Most of the flowers are from the kit. The vine I used as a base is from a past scrapbook kit, The art stones and glass beads are from past mixed media kits.
I did some stenciling to the background and then used a light pink mist to make the stenciling stand out more. The title piece is from my stash.
I really like how my project turned out. I hope I have given you some inspiration on how you can combine your kits to make the most of them and create some unique projects.
