Mixed Media Kit Canvas
Happy Sunday, everyone!
Today I'm sharing my project made with the January mixed media kit featuring a set of Art Philosophy gouche paints.
Honestly, I tried my freehand painting and ended up painting over a couple of scenes that were not worthy of sharing!
I ended up blending about 7 of the different colors, and added a lot of blue to get a blended color background. You can see some purple and pink streaks in the blue background.
I added some stenciling using the white gouache paint mixed with some clear crackle paste.
While the stenciling was drying, I took some of the canvas flowers from the kit and some leaves from the scrapbook kit and mist them with water. Then, I used the watercolor pens to paint the flowers blue, pink, and purple, and the leaves using the green and yellow paints, and then I set them aside to dry.
I added a few things from my stash- a resin circle frame that I used some gold paint on, a variety of pearls to fill in the frame, and a Tim Holtz chipboard title.
Finally, I added the painted leaves and flowers to the lower right of the canvas.
Thanks for stopping by the blog!
