Happy 4th of July let's "squeeze the day"
I have a layout to share with you today. I created this layout using the new July scrapbook kit. We just revealed all our July kits. You can seem them here. But for today, like I said, we are talking about the scrapbook kit.
This was such a simple layout to create. I used a 1 sheet of cardstock and from the kit, 1 sheet of pattern paper , a few of the chipboard pieces and some flowers. from my stash I added the ribbon, doilies and butterfly. I also used some of the stencil butter from the June mixed media kit to create the swirls on the background.
The butterfly and black flower are from my stash (it's really hard to find black flowers now days). I left the chipboard in it's natural state. I thought it stood out more.
Let's talk about the background. For the layers behind the photo, I took the sheet sweet life and cut it out the doily and layers to use behind my photo. The I cut the rest of the paper and used behind that. I used both sides of the paper.
I added the black lace down the side because I didn't want the paper edge to show and it worked out perfectly. This floral cluster was created using mostly flowers from the kit (black flower and leaves are from my stash).
