Find Your Path, Follow Your Path Altered Tray

Today I'm sharing a project I made using both the mixed media kit and scrapbook kit for the mood board challenge.

This is an tray I bought from IKEA a few years ago.  It was white, but I painted it black using the acrylic paint from last month's mixed media kit.  While still wet, I sprinkled the different colors of the mica powders from this month's mixed media kit, then sprayed a bit of water on them. I wiped off the excess powder then set the design my stippling some of the fluid medium from the kit.  Once dry, I added some of the gold embossing powder from the scrapbook kit in random spots, then dried it with a heat gun.

Next, I painted the large Tres Jolie chipboard clock from the kit and also used more of the gold embossing powder while the paint was still wet.

I cut out a circle from one of the kit papers and added it to the tray, then glued the clock onto the tray.  I also added some rhinestone chain from my stash around the clock.

I cut up one of the papers as well as cutting out the gears from the cut out page and created a background for my photo, then tucked it under the clock.  I also added an acetate circle of leaves from my stash.

Next I added a big floral cluster which included the pink flowers and green leaves from the kit and also one of the silver clock charms.  I also added some grey flowers from my stash.

I completed the project by adding some butterflies and a title from my stash.
