Chose to Shine Mixed Media Project
Hi, everyone.
Today I'm sharing my project I made with the mixed media kit.

I assembled this wooden frame using Fabri-Tac to secure the notches. Once dried, I added the texture pastes. I used mostly the purple and blue pastes blending them on to the frame. I used the rusty color as well, but it seemed to disappear once dried.

Once the texture pastes were MOSTLY dried, I added the white matte wax, heavily in some areas with a stippling brush. In the parts that were still damp, the wax blending into the texture paste made the blue-purple areas very pale, which I really loved.

I took a heat gun to the frame and sealed the wax. Some parts bubbled up as you can see in the picture above.

Next, I used the pink vine from the kit and some items from my stash to complete the design. I added some pink and blue 13 Arts paper to show through the frame. I added a resin frame and Craft o'Clock clock from past kits. The title is Tim Holtz. I added some small blue roses to the pink vine.
