"Best Ever" Layout

Today I'm sharing a super simple layout I made using the March scrapbook kit.

I started out by adding some black ink, black embossing powder, along with the gold embossing powder from the kit to the Tres Jolie chipboard clock. I just kept adding layers until I achieved the distressed texture i was looking for.  Then I cut a circle out of the pink script paper, distressed and inked it, then glued the paper to the back of the chipboard, then glued it to the paper.  Lots going on with the paper design, so I didn't add any mixed media.

Next, I cut a mat for my picture using a scrap from the pink script paper. ( I used the other side,  I heavily distressed it, inked it, and added some black stitching rub-ons from my stash.  There are several retailers that have different stitching stamps, or you could just doodle those on to your paper for a cheaper way to achieve the same look. I also used the rub-ons on the top left and bottom right corners of the page.

Next I adhered my picture and photo mat to the middle of the chipboard, then got to work on my flower cluster.  I used two blush colors flowers that are available in a past kit, and the 49 and Market white flowers with leaves from this kit.  I also added one of the silver clock charms under the large flower.

I also added a couple of things from my stash, including some acetate pieces from 49 and Market which includes the butterflies and the title.
