Believe in Yourself Mini Wall Hanging

Today I'm sharing my last project made with the January kit.  I went a bit paper crazy with my other projects and only had some scraps, and this is what I came up with:

This little piece could have been a card, but I ended up adding some string to hang it on my daughter's bedroom wall.

I used the white paper with the green foliage for the background, then added a piece of the blue woodgrain paper to the top that I tamped with a typeset stamp and grey chalk ink.  I heavily distressed the blue paper and cut the top and bottom of the paper and rolled the edges.

I also added some faux stitching to the top layer.  Next, I used some green distress oxide ink on the Tres Jolie chipboard and cut the chipboard in a few different pieces to add on the bottom layer and a bit on the top layer.

I added one of the resins birds and some blue flowers to complete the look.
