Z Fold Cards and Bookmarks
Hi Craft Friends!
So glad you're here today! For my project today I will show you how to create these Z Fold Cards and even some bookmarks using our leftover scraps and embellishments.
To create these cards, I'm using Tres Jolie January Cards Tags and More kit. This kit has some 8x8 designed papers including some solids and punch out envelopes, Journaling cards and sentiments. You'll also get Dew Drops- Bamboo Memento Ink, white tags and pendant flags pieces, pearls and crystal gems, Prima flowers and Scraberry Mulberry stems. Hope you order your kit now before they sell out. Here's a photo of the Card kit:

From my stash I am using: White Card bases 5x7 inch- 3 total, foam dots, white bookmark pieces, Stickles Glitter Stardust, ribbon yarn and strings, hole punch, and score board.
First we will create 3- Z fold cards. All card bases measure 5x7 inches.
Card #1: lay your card base onto your score board with the 10 inch side across. Score at 2 & 1/2inches. Fold and crease.
Taking several patterned papers and solids, cut the following:
Cut 2 pieces to measure 2 & 3/8 x 6 & 7/8
Cut 2 more pieces the same size. I used 2 design papers and 2 solid colored papers. Ink the edges using the Dew Drops Ink in the kit. See photo:

Glue your papers on all 4 panels, alternating pattern paper and solid paper. See photos:
2 panels on the backside:

2 panels on the front:

On the right side of your card, cut 1 piece 4 & 7/8 x 6 & 7/8. Ink edges. Glue this piece on the inside right side of your card.
Cut a border strip from the Journaling cards paper, leaving 3 cards intact. Then score in between each journal card, accordion fold and crease. See photo:

Glue one side of your border strip to the front of your front left panel.

and glue the last border strip flap on the right inside of your card. See photo:

Here's how it looks:

Next you take out one of the white pendant flags, ink the edges and add a sentiment piece onto the front. . Cut out a journal card and fussy cut sentiment from your paper.

Glue the journal card on the inside and pendant flap at the top. I glued a green flower stem over the hole on my pendant flag. See photo:

On the left front panel, I adhered the sentiment piece using foam dots. I added a couple flowers at the bottom edge and some purple crystal gems to finish! Here's some finished photos!

Card #2: Cut, and fold as we did previously on our 1st card. Ink and glue papers in place.

Punch out a envelope pocket, and purple heart pieces, sentiments and some flowers. I cut out the " Live your Dreams" piece and glued inside my envelope pocket.

Glue your envelope on the leftside inside card panel. With foam dots I adhered the purple heart, leaving a part visible. I added a sentiment and some flowers on the right inside of my card. Here's a photo:

On the front flap, I cut out a small journal card, glued a sentiment and added some green pearl gems!
I glued the small journal card onto my front flap and applied some Stickles Glitter Stardust on the flower petals! I matted and glued a sentiment at the very top. Here's a photo:
For my inside left panel, I cut out a small tag, sentiment piece and took out acouple flowers and pendant flap and tag from the kit.

I glued my tag on the inside panel, added the pendant flag and sentiment, some flowers to my tag. I added some purple crystal gems along the bottom edge. Here's some finished photos!

Card # 3: I cut coordinating papers as before and glued onto my card bases. See photo:

On the front panel I glued some green pearl gems on top of my border

I cut out a small journal card and adhered a few purple crystal gems.

Glue this piece onto the front panel, only adding glue to the left edge.on the backside of the journal card, i took one of the white tags in the kit. Glued behind the backside of my journal card. Added a sentiment and green pearl gem. See photo:

Now cut out another tag and sentiment. With foam dots adhere centered to the inside panel of your card. I glued a green flower at the top of my tag, added a sentiment and a few purple crystal gems. Applied some Stickles Glitter Stardust to the flowers.

Here's some photos!

Now using some leftover scraps and pieces from our kit, we can make some bookmarks. I think these are a nice surprise to tuck inside our cards.
To make my bookmarks ,I glued 2 pieces of white Cardstock together. They measure 2x6 inches. This will make them extra a sturdy.

I am inking all the bookmark edges with the Dew Drops Ink in the kit. I cut out a tag and trimmed to fit onto my bookmark base. I cut out a sentiment and glued along the bottom edge. I punched a hole at the top of my bookmark. Then tied a piece of ribbon through the hole on my bookmark. Added a flower and some pearl gems at the top. Here's a photo:

2nd bookmark: Ink your edges of my bookmark and cut out a piece of patterned paper, small tag, journal card trimmed to 3 & 1/2 x 2 & 1/2 inches. Score at 3/8 on the right edge, turn and score at 1& 1/8 inches. See photos:

Glue your patterned paper to your bookmark. Then wrap my journal card and glued the edges to the backside. See photo:

I tucked the small tag inside my journal card added a sentiment. Then glued a green flower on the top of my small tag. I glued a purple gem in the center of my green flower. I punched a hole at the top of my bookmark. Then tied some green ribbon through the hole on my bookmark. Here's a photo:

Last bookmark: i fussy cut out a stack of books from a journal card. Cut out the small journal card with the gal and her book, pendant flag and a small sentiment piece.

With foam dots I added the fussy cut books along the bottom edge. Glue the girl in the center and sentiment above. I took a flag pendant added a sentiment, inked the edges. I punched a hole on my bookmark and tied some yarn, string and attached my pendant flag. Here's a photo:
