You Have My Whole Heart

Hello Craft Friends!

I'm happy to have another opportunity to be guest designer for Tres Jolie in the month of August. I love to create home decor projects to display in my home. Vintage style has always been a favorite of mine. And with all the photos I have, it's a great way to preserve and display a treasured memory.

Today we will be using the August Cards, Tags and More kit from Tres Jolie. This kit has some really beautiful stamps, rub-ons, papers and much more. You don't want to miss out on this one.

For my base, I chose a 9 inch embroidery hoop. I took a 12x12 paper from my craft stash, and traced around my hoop with a pencil. Then I cut out and glued the paper to the back of my embroidery hoop. Using an x-acto knife I trimmed away any excess paper. Next I glued some lace and rhinestone trim around the top edge of my embroidery hoop.

Using a piece of cream card stock and a diecut frame in my craft stash, I ran through my diecutting machine. Inked around the edges of my diecut using the Pastel Brown Chalk Ink, included in your kit.

I chose a favorite photo and adhered in the middle of my diecut frame. Then I chose one of the coordinating papers from your 6x6 pad, in this kit. Adding foam dots to the back adhere your 6x6 paper in the center of your embroidery hoop base. I added more foam dots to the back of my diecut frame and adhered on top of my previous layer.

Now the fun begins and we can start decorating and arranging our embellishments. I diecut a few foliage pieces with a favorite die I had in my craft stash. But you can use anything you prefer. I love to add a variety of different embellishments to add interest and dimension to your project. The Prima flowers in this kit are amazing and beautiful.

Using the stamp set in your kit, I stamped one of the sentiments onto cream cardstock, using a copper ink. I cut out one of the sentiments and flowers from the rub-on set onto cream card stock.

Cut them out and inked around the edges. After you are satisfied with your placement, you can glue down your flowers and other embellishments. I adhered some of the pretty enamel dots on the corners of my frame. I cut a few flower petals off two of my flowers, and tucked behind my "With Love" sentiment. Save those flowers, you can still use on a future project. I also glued acouple pearls on my larger flower.

Here are some closeups:

To finish your project, I glued a gold bow on the top! Now it's ready to hang and display. I hope I've inspired you today!
