Vintage Christmas Mini Album
Merry Christmas Crafty Friends!
Christmas is my favorite time of the year! I hope even with all the hustle and bustle during the weeks before Christmas, you are finding time to sit back, relax with your favorite beverage and do some Christmas Crafting.
Today I'm going to create a Christmas mini album. I know we all take alot of photos during the holidays, so why not make an album to hold all your memories. These make great gifts too.
To create my mini album, I am using this beautiful December Scrapbook Kit from Tres Jolie kit club. You will love all the Vintage 12x12 design papers, Matching diecuts with Vintage Santa's, Tres Jolie Chipboard Hollyleaves, with Berries and Christmas Bells! You also get 2 sheets of Vintage stickers, 2 metal snowflake seals, Little Birdie flowers and Holly embellishments! Here's a photo of the Scrapbook kit this month:

Be sure to order your kit now so you dont miss out.
From my stash I am using Frank Garcia's Memory Hardware Album and Venetian Shutters, Folkart Acrylic Paint-Vintage White, foam dots/tape, Distress Ink Gathered Twigs, score board, paintbrush, Spectrum Noir Sparkle Inks- Cozy Christmas, fake snow tex, Glitter Embossing powder- Green Tinsel, Stickles Glitter Christmas Red, Holly.
To begin, I painted an 1 inch border around all pages including the front and back covers plus the spine. See photos:

While your album pages are drying, take the Venetian Shutters and whitewash a coat of the Vintage White paint over the Shutters, front and backside. Let dry. See photos:

Next take your patterned papers from the kit. I cut my papers as follows: (I am inking all my papers before adhering to my album.
Front/Back Covers- cut 2 total- 6 & 1/2 x 5 & 1/2 inches, Spine-1 & 1/2 x 5 & 1/2 inches.
Inside front and back covers- cut 6 & 1/2 x 5 & 1/2 inches, All other inside album pages cut at 6 & 1/2 x 5 & 1/4 inches. See photo examples below:
Front cover:

Back cover:

On the spine I cut a scrap of the bird/holly paper. Set your album aside for now.
Take out several Tres Jolie Chipboard Holly leaves pieces. You can use a variety of craft mediums on these Chipboards. I applied some Versa Mark Clear Ink and sprinkled the leaves with Green Tinsel Embossing powder. Then heat embossed. On the berries I applied some Stickles Christmas Red glitter. Let dry. See photos:

Now take your TJ Chipboard Bells and using Sparkle Inks and a paintbrush, I applied onto the Chipboard. I like using these Sparkle Inks, since they add a glittered look! On my Berries I applied more Stickles Glitter Christmas Red. Let dry.

While your Chipboard pieces are drying, we can work on our album cover. I cut out the Journaling card with the bird. I trimmed it to fit behind the center windows on my Venetian Shutter. Glue it to the backside. See photo:

Next I chose some flowers to embellishment my album cover. The pine branches are in my stash.
See photo:

I arranged some flowers to place inside the bottom ledge of the shutter window.
The other flowers along the bottom edge. I added some of the Holly leaves on each corner. I glued the Chipboard Bells on the inside Shutters on the right and Holly leaves and flowers on the leftside shutter. To finish it applied some Textured fake snow on some of the flower petals, scattered areas on the Shutters and ledge. Here's some finished photos!

On the spine I glued some Tres Jolie Chipboard Holly leaves and added this cute vintage girl sticker at the bottom edge. Here's a photo:

Page 1:(Back of front cover) Glue your Holly leaves on the top left corner above the Bells. I fussy cut out the sentiment "Joy to the World" and the title frame, and glued in place.

I adhered with foam dots at the top right corner. I added one of the angel stickers on the bottom left corner. Here's a photo:

Page 2: I trimmed off the top of the journal card with the Christmas trees and cut to measure 5 & 1/4 inches.

On the front of my flip page with foam dots I adhered one of the December 25th diecuts, added a small red flower and tucked one of the leftover TJ Chipboard Holly leaves. Here's my finished page:
