Vintage Christmas Banner

Hi Craft Friends!

Dana here! I'm back to share my last December project with you. I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas! I'm hoping you have more time to do some crafting now, after all the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season is over.

My project today is an easy one to create and one you can display on your wall. I'll be using the December Scrapbook kit from Tres Jolie and some extra crafty supplies from my stash!

This month's kit features Simple Stories Vintage Lodge collection, beautiful flowers from Little Birdie and 49 & Market. There's no end to what you can create!

To start you'll need the Simple Stories Chipboard Clusters pack, included in this kit. In addition I purchased a canvas banner from my local craft store.

Remove your chipboard pieces from your package. Arrange them onto each canvas banner base. Take the chipboard leaves piece in your kit. I used this piece on one of my banner bases. I left mine as is, but you could color with sprays, inks, or almost any color medium you prefer. I like to use a variety of different embellishments to decorate each banner piece. Once you're happy with their placement, you can glue in place. When adhering my chipboard Clusters, I added foam tape (from my stash) on the back of each chipboard cluster before adhering onto my canvas banner. This adds dimension to your project! At the top of each banner, I twisted gold, green red and silver tinsel ( in my stash) and glued along the top edge of each banner piece.

Holly Jolly Santa: I glued one of the ephemera sentiments at the top, and a small sticker sentiment on the bottom right side. Also one of the gorgeous gold poinsettias from the kit! Here's some closeups!

December floral cluster:I glued another ephemera sentiment at the top. Fussy cut around one of the matching floral images and adhered with foam dots over top. Then added a few Brads (from my stash and this collection) and ephemera hearts along the bottom edges of my banner. Close up photos for you!

Vintage Santa: I took 3 snowflakes from the ephemera pack and layered on top of each other using foam dots. And added a silver gem( in my craft stash)in the middle of my Snowflake. On the right side,  I adhered a tree ephemera piece with foam dots, glued a pretty red flower at the bottom and tucked one of the Santa stamps behind my flower petals. And finished off with another brad (in my stash) and tinsel along the top edge! Here's some closeups!

Chipboard leaves: I glued my chipboard leaves in place. Then adhered a chipboard sentiment on the left side using foam dots, tinsel along the top and another flower at the bottom. Here are some photos!

Cardinal: from my craft stash, I glued some greenery, berries, pinecone (my stash) and a another gold poinsettia flower and chipboard sentiment! Tinsel along the top! Some closeups!

To finish this project,  I strung some jute cord( in the banner package) through the holes at the top of the banner. Tied two knots at each end and there you have it! It's ready to hang on your wall!

I hope you were inspired with this project today. Thanks for stopping by the Tres Jolie blog! Be sure to grab your kit before they are gone and check out the Tres Jolie shop for all your craft supplies! Stop back often to see more project inspiration from Jeanne and Crystal!

Until next year, I wish you all a Happy and Crafty New Year!
