Vintage Valentine Mini Album

Hi everyone! Jeanne here back this week with this Heart shape mini album I created using this month's Cards, Tags, & More Kit.   This is a very fun kit to create with and I know you will enjoy making this for your favorite person! Here is how I made mine! 

I started by painting all of the edges of the chipboard hearts, leaving one without paint since this will be the one we use as a template for our papers. Also painting the ones with the beautiful intricate designs. I used Folk Art Vintage White paint and a sponge brush. I love using a sponge brush instead of a regular paint brush so I don't leave streaks. 

Next I took the papers I would be using from the beautiful 8x8 paper pad, The Paper Boutique "Endless Love". The entire heart doesn't fit on the paper so I traced the bottom half first then the top half next, on the first page (as seen above) I did used a whole paper from a paper pack I had from my stash. I added a piece of ivory cardstock as my photo mat . 

Next I cut the papers that I traced and I used the Tim Holtz Worn Lipstick Distress Ink from the kit all around the edges. I adhered them, rotating designs onto the chipboard hearts. 

 

On the cover and the other page with the intricate designs I used Teresa Collins Acetate sheets, on the cover I used one with pink foil hearts and the other page I used gold foiled dots, I ran out of the heart one. Next I adhered some trims around the edges , I left the cover without adding cardstock to the back as I like how you can see thru to the first page of my album. On the other page I did add a piece of ivory card stock. 

 

On two of the pages I made these hidden photo mats using the cut outs from the paper pad and some ribbon. I added some small cut outs from Prima Marketing Love Story collection, next to the photo mats. 

 

On the back cover I added some heart dangle trim instead of leaving it bare.

I left the cover for last and didn't do very much as this already had such a beautiful design on it. I added a chipboard piece from the Tales of You and Me collection, I added a variety of Prima Marketing flowers and some pearl embellishments, I didn't want to add too much on it. 

Lastly I cut some small pieces of vintage fabric to bind it together. 

I really had fun creating this mini album, I will be sending this to my granddaughters for Valentine's Day.
