Valentine Love Decorative Frame
Hello Craft Friends!
How are you? Hope you all had a Happy Valentine's Day and lots of love! Can't believe this month is almost over.
Today I have an easy project idea. I bought this frame at the Dollar store and thought it would be fun to decorate the frame with a Valentine's Love theme. If you're like I am, I have lots of photos sitting here Or maybe you have a special Valentine's Day photo, or Anniversary photo you'd like to use.
For my project, I'll be using the February Tres Jolie Scrapbook kit! The 12x12 paper collection has double sided patterned papers from Paper Rose (2 each of each design) plus matching fussycut element sheets, a sheet of sentiment phases, Tres Jolie Love/Key chipboard and Balloons/Hearts, Little Birdie flowers-2 packs, lace trim and 3 grapevine hearts! Grab your kit today before they are sold out! Here's a photo of the Scrapbook kit:
From my stash I'm using: one 6 & 3/4 x 8 & 1/2 inch frame, foam dots and tape, Versamark Clear ink, Copper Embossing powder, Martha Stewart Tourmaline Embossing glitter, pink heart gem, Tim Holtz Distress Ink Gathered Twigs and Stickles Stardust glitter!
Here is the frame I'm using:
To begin our project, I chose coordinating patterned papers from my scraps, and cut the following:
2- 6 & 7/8 x 1 & 1/8 inches
2- 8 & 7/8 x 1 & 1/4 inches
I inked all the edges and mitered the corners to give it a clean look. See photo:
Glue all your paper strips in place around the outside edges. See photo:
Set frame aside and take out your Tres Jolie Love/Key chipboard piece. I applied the Versamark Clear ink on the key, sprinkled Crafters Companion Copper Embossing powder over top and shake off any excess powder. Heat emboss. See photo:
I added some foam tape to the backside of my chipboard key. Then adhered along the bottom edge of my frame. I glued a pink heart gem in the center of the heart on the end of the chipboard key. Here's a closeup photo:
Next I cut some fussycut images and a sentiment piece from my element sheets. I ended up not using all those pictured below. See photo:
I arranged my fussycut images and chose some of the Little Birdie flowers onto my frame. Once I'm happy with my placement of my embellishments, I glued in place. Some images i added foam dots to add dimension. On my flower at the top right corner i tucked one of the small grapevine hearts among the flower petals! Then just add a photo inside your frame and it's finished and ready to display or give as a surprise gift!
Here's some finished photos!
I hope you liked my project idea and you'll create one for yourself or that special someone!
