Together - A Layout from Peggy
Happy Tuesday, all! Here’s a bit of news: Tres Jolie has become a sponsor of Sketches in Thyme Challenges. (You can check them out here.)
First up is Sketch #460 created by Laura Rumble. This sketch is the epitome of “Clean and Simple”, with a straight line of trim down one side and a trio of banners under the photo.

I decided to use one of Tres Jolie’s Distressed Filmstrip chipboard pieces rather than the trim. After giving it a good coat of black gesso, I colored it with the Lindy’s Magicals that came in the Mixed Media kit, starting with the gold and then adding highlights with the other two colors. I cut two small pieces from another of the “filmstrips”, altered them and placed them on either side of the photo to give it that elongated look of the sketch. Rather than banners, I chose to fussy cut three tags, top them with twine and embellish them with chipboard pieces.
