"Timeless Love" Vintage Romance Layout

Hello Crafty Friends! Jeanne here today sharing
my first project for the month of May, also is a mood board challenge project. I used the May 2022 Scrapbook Kit from Tres Jolie Kit for this layout as well as a few items from my stash.
I created this layout featuring my husband's grandparents who no longer with us. I had the extreme pleasure of meeting them. They meant so much to my husband so I decided I would create this layout for him.
This months Scrapbook Kit is absolutely beautiful and it was a little rough trying to select the sheet of paper that I would use for this layout. I actually ended up cutting part of one other sheet , using my xacto knife I cut small lines on each design and adhered cheese cloth behind this part and pulled it through the front part. I also added some vintage lace on the top part.  As seen on this photo below.
Before adhering any of the papers to the 12x12 cardboard sheet, I took some Ranger embossing ink and brushed it all around the sheet it paper instead of using the dauber, then added some  Lindy's Stamp gang embossing powder " Silence Is Golden" heat it up using my heat tool & then adhered it to that card board.

Once my papers where adhered, I began by using double sided tape to the photo I used then adding that to a soft purple color card stock. I then used foam tape to this and adhered it to the layout where I wanted it to be.
I had cut out some of the elements from the sheet of paper that had different items such as variety of flowers, clock faces, and this kit also come with some chipboard ephemera to choose from so I pick from. So I did choose the "Timeless" chipboard and added it next to the already printed "Love" on the sheet and also picked one of the chipboard clocks.
I used some of the flowers from the kit as well as some from my stash, I cut the chipboard ephemera brick wall piece in two and adhered it to both sides of the photo and continued adding flowers on both sides. On one of the chipboard pieces which has some handwriting on it, I trimmed it and made it look torn then adhered onto it a Tim Holtz Stitched Scraps.
I added Finnabair Art Stones and clear seed beads to the flowers. I then took a chipboard design from past Tres Jolie kit, applied white gesso , dried it then mixed in some Finnabair Mica Powders "Pearls & Crystals"  that came with this month's Mixed Media kit. Then brushed it onto the chipboard pieces, dried them and adhered it to the top of the photo as a frame and then added a Tim Holtz adornment pieces on the center. I did add more cheese cloth throughout the layout. I finished it off by mixing the dark purple mica powder with water and used my splatter brush around the layout making sure I had my photo covered while doing this.
Well my friends, I do hope that you like what I created and feel inspired to join in this month's mood board challenge. More information below on that. I hope that you will come back daily to check out what the rest of the design team comes up with this month using the amazing kits this month and if you haven't got yours yet, hurry on over and grab yours.
