Thinking Outside the Card Box: July Mini Album Tutorial (Part 1!)
Hello, crafty friends! Today I'm showing you a fun way to push the boundaries of your monthly kits. Who says a card kit can only make cards?
This month, I took the stunning July Card Kit filled with its gorgeous signature mix of romantic floral patterns and photographic prints and used it to build a custom mini album!

The Design: Layers, Pockets, and Photo Mats
Mini albums are fantastic for documenting small weekend trips, special celebrations, or gifting to a loved one. The pre-designed mini album and papers from 3 Quarter Designs make it incredibly simple to build a cohesive look across multiple pages without needing a massive paper collection.
For this project, I used the mini album to craft a sturdy base structure complete with fold-out flaps and pocket inserts.

This is Part 1 of a 2-Part Project!
Because this album is packed with interactive details, I am breaking the entire assembly down into a two-part series.

In today's Part 1 post and tutorial, we are focusing entirely on building the structural base and decorating it.

Next time in Part 2, we will dive into assembling the pages, and constructing the interactive flip-folds, embellishing, tag-making, and final finishing touches!
