"Sweet Life" mini album

Hi Friends!

I'm Dana and I'm back to share my last project for the month of March! Didn't this month go by fast? I hope even with our busy schedules, we still can find some time to do some crafting!

Today we'll be creating a mini album using the Tres Jolie March Scrapbook kit! The paper collection in this month's kit is from 49 & Market "Vintage Artistry Tranquility " collection! This is a fabulous kit you'll want to purchase before they are gone! It includes the 12x12 Collection of papers, Laser cut elements you'll be sure to love, Prima flowers,  and Tres jolie Chipboards and so much more!

I will be inking all my papers, fussy cut images and Laser cut elements using Tim Holtz Distress Ink Gathered Twigs (from my stash) But feel free to use whatever Distress Ink you have in your crafty stash. I will also be using some other items in my stash including: crystal gems, Dazzle stickers, Stickles Stardust and Diamond glitter, foam dots and some other matching products from this collection.

The mini album I chose to use is from Frank Garcia's Memory Hardware magnetic album, I already had in my crafty stash. Any album would work just fine. You'd just have to adjust your measurements. My album measures 61/2 x 6 & 1/2.

To begin I took some Folkart Vintage White acrylic paint and painted a 1" around all the edges and pages of my album. Let dry.

I chose a mix of  coordinating papers from both the 12x12 and 6x8 matching paper pads (in my stash)  to decorate my album cover, sides, and back of my album.

Left front cover measures 5 & 3/4 x 6 " , right front cover measures 3x 6& 1/4 inches.

Inside cover on left side measures: 6x61/4 inches. Back of album measures 6x6 inches

Sides of album measures 2x 61/4 inches.

Base pages inside measure: 5 & 1/2 x 5 & 3/4

Inside cover: I cut a 12x12 paper "Sweet Nothings" 11 & 1/4 x 6 & 1/4, score at 6 & 1/4 8 & 1/4. When adhering your papers, be sure to not put tape or adhesive where the magnets are, or your album won't close properly.

Cut, ink and adhere all papers in place. I prefer using adhesive tape or strong bond permanent glue.

I decorated my cover using some of the lovely Laser Cut Elements,  layered some using foam dots from my stash. I fussy cut out some butterfly images and slightly bent their wings upward to create movement. I love to add some Stickles Stardust glitter to their wings! I also adhered some enamel dots from my stash. Here's a closeup!

On the left side front cover, I punched out the Laser element frame and glued in the center. Then adhered a few pink pearl gems from my stash, onto the 4 corners of my frame. Using a foam dot, I added a chipboard sentiment in the center of my frame. The 3 small Laser Cut hearts I adhered along the bottom edge using foam dots. Here's a closeup!

Both sides of my album, I glued acouple Laser Cut Elements, and glued another chipboard sentiment piece in the center and on the other side I added a pink gem from my stash. Here's acouple photos for you!

Open up your album. Now we are ready to decorate our pages.

Page 1: I cut one of the swirls Laser elements in half and glued one on each side of my photo. I adhered one of the Laser Cut sentiments at the bottom along with a fussy cut butterfly.

Page 2: I cut out a blue square paper from the back of the Laser elements front page. I adhered on the left side as a flip page (flip page measures 4 &1/8 x 5 & 3/4 inches) score 1/2 inch on the left side. From my leftover border strip I glued a piece over the scored area of my card. I decorated the front of my flip card with a Laser Cut Element (berries) one of the chipboard sentiments at the top. I fussy cut out a butterfly/clock image from an extra elements paper and a matching butterfly. I glued the butterfly over the butterfly image on my card and bend the wings slightly as we did before. Then added some Stickles Stardust glitter to the butterfly wings! Here's some closeups!

Inside page underneath flip page: I glued and trimmed one of the blue lace Laser elements and glued along the right edge of my page. On the opposite side of your flip page, you have this pretty image of florals and Butterflies. I adhered a strip of matching Postage Stamps washi tape (from my stash and from this collection I purchased separately) Here's a closeup look!

You could add a photo on the opposite page if you like. Here's another closeup of both pages:

I made another flip page from my leftover scrap paper and it measures 4 & 3/4 x 4 & 3/4, scored 1/2 inch on the left side. Glued another lace Laser cut element along the edge of my scored line and chipboard sentiment on the top. Alittle Stickles Stardust glitter on my butterfly wings! Here's a closeup look:

Opposite page underneath flip page: added another photo, punched out a ticket and tucked behind my photo. Then glued the Laser cut key element on the bottom of my photo. Here's a closeup!

Page 7: I cut apart one of the Postage Stamps from the washi tape and adhered at the top of my page. From the Tranquility Tag set (I purchased separately) I applied foam dots on the back before adhering on my page.
