Sweet as Honey: Creating with the May Card Kit
There is something so satisfying about finishing a card that feels both sophisticated and playful, and this month’s Bee-Themed Card Kit from Paper Roses makes it incredibly easy to achieve that balance!
I’ve been busy in the studio with the May kit, and I wanted to share these two recent makes that lean into those gorgeous golden tones and high-contrast patterns.
Card 1: Golden Days
For the first card, I wanted to highlight that stunning yellow gingham. It provides such a classic, sunny backdrop for the floral and butterfly imagery. I added a circular "Golden Days" sentiment as the focal point and finished it off with a couple of petite yellow blooms in the corner for that signature Tres Jolie dimension. It’s simple, elegant, and perfectly cheerful.

Card 2: Honeycomb Textures
The second card is all about the layers! I used the hexagon "honeycomb" chipboard to create a structural element that mirrors the bee theme perfectly. Layered over a background of honey jars and floral sprigs, the large hexagon tag really stands out. I love how the natural wood tone of the chipboard grounds all those bright yellows and oranges.
