Steampunk Styled Cards & Tags

Hello Craft Friends!

Hope you are having a great week! I'm Dana and I'm here to share my last project for the month of August!

Today we'll be creating a few different styled Steampunk cards and Tags. I'm using Tres Jolie August Cards Tags and More kit! The 6x6 papers are from Uniquely Creative Steampunk Boutique collection and they have a steampunk look that could be given to both male and female recipients. Also included in this month's Card kit are matching Uniquely Creative diecuts, and extra element sheets to fussycut, 49 & Market flower pack, Prima Marketing Junkyard Metal Corners and two Tres Jolie Chipboard Tags! The Tags are thick and sturdy! Here's a photo of the Cards Tags and More kit:

Be sure to order your kit now. They do sell out quickly. In addition to the kit, I'll be using the following items from my stash: White Card bases, Dazzle stickers Black dots, Clear Sparkle pen, Stickles Glitter Stardust, foam dots, Distress Ink Gathered Twigs.

Card 1: Card base measures 6x6. I cut my first patterned paper slightly smaller, leaving a 1/4 inch white border edge all around. I fussycut out 2 flower images (1 from the Creative Cuts package) see photo:

Adhere your paper to your card base using foam tape. This adds dimension. Here's a photo:

Next take the Creative Cut piece and with foam dots Adhere over same image on the left side. See photo:

Take out 2 49 & Market white flowers and lightly brush Distress Ink over the petals. See photo:

I glued my flowers towards the bottom edge on my Creative diecut. With foam dots I adhered a Happy Birthday Creative diecut at the top and a flower diecut on the upper right corner. I fussycut out one of the tiny Tags from the extra element sheet and tucked it behind my larger diecut piece. I applied a Black Dazzle sticker over the tag hole, and added several more Dazzle stickers in scattered areas on my card. To finish I applied some Stickles Stardust glitter on some of the flower petals! Here's some closeups!

Card 2: My card base measures 4x6 inches. I took the red striped 6x6 paper and cut to 3x6 inches. Adhere this paper on the left side. Glue a leftover scrap on the right side. See photo:

Take the Hot Air Balloon Creative Cut piece and apply foam dots on the backside. Then adhere centered. Take one of the Prima Junkyard Metal Corners and glue on the upper left corner. Glue the XO Creative diecut towards the bottom edge. To finish I applied some Stickles Stardust glitter on the blue wings on the hot air balloon and add a few Black Dazzle stickers! Here's some photos:

Card 3: Card base is 4x6 inches. Turn your card vertically. Cut another patterned paper to 2 & 7/8 inches and adhere at the top. See photo:

Next I fussycut the Clock/Cage, cut apart the Happy Returns sentiment flag and a few Creative diecutsSteampunk gears. I also took apart one of the 49andMarketsmall roses.. See photos:

Remove the Prima Junkyard Metal frame from your package and glue your Happy Returns sentiment behind your metal frame. See photo:

Glue your meal frame on the right lower corner on your card. I adhered my Clock/Cage with foam dots letting the bottom portion hang slightly off my card edge. I glued my tiny white 49 and Market flower in the center of my Clock diecut. I tucked and glued my two Creative diecuts gears along the bottom edge. See photo:

Take the black arrow diecut and with foam dots adhere on the right side. To finish the card, I applied some Black Dazzle stickers and Stickles Stardust glitter on my flowers. Here's some closeup photos!

Next we are going to create 2 Tres Jolie Chipboard Tags in your kit. You can use up any scrap papers and you still have plenty of leftover patterned papers and Creative Cuts to decorate your tags. I love including Tags when i send my cards. I think it's a fun surprise for any recipient!

Tag 1: Both tags measure 3 & 1/4 x 6 & 1/2 inches. Take one of the scrap papers and cut to measure 3 1/4 x 1 3/8 inches. Mark and punch the hole at the top. Glue at the top lining up the edges with the top of your chipboard tag. Trim off both corners. Ink edges. 2nd paper cut at 3 & 1/4 x 5 & 1/4 inches. Glue onto your tag base. I left a slight edge of the chipboard showing. Here's acouple photos:

Taking another Creative diecuts I applied foam dots and adhered on the left side. See photo:

Next I took out several Creative Cuts flowers and leaves. With foam dots I adhered them on the left side over my previous Creative diecut. I tucked the leaves underneath my flower. From the 49 and Market flower pack, I glued two flowers on the left edge. I glued one of the Creative Cuts sentiments along the bottom edge of my tag. I glued a Prima Junkyard Metal corner on the top right corner, added some Black Dazzle stickers and glued a Creative Cuts steampunk gear over the top hole on my tag. I applied some Sparkle Clear pen accents on my flowers. Here's a closeup photo!

On the backside I covered with scrap papers. And glued another Creative Cuts sentiment circle at the top. Here's a photo:

Tag 2: I cut another patterned paper and glued on the front of my tag. I took 2 more Prima Junkyard Metal Corners and glued one at the top right corner and another on the bottom left corner. With foam dots, I adhered the Awesome Creative Cuts piece on the left side. I fussycut some more floral images and leaves from the extra element sheet and a Steampunk gear from the Creative Cuts package. See photo:

I adhered my Steampunk gear at the top with foam dots and glued a 49 and Market flower in the center. I glued acouple Creative Cuts flowers in place at the top of my tag. Then applied several Black Dazzle stickers and using a Clear Sparkle pen I applied some Sparkle on my flowers. I also took one of the pink Daisy's and cut in half. Then glued one underneath Awesome sentiment and the other at the bottom. Here's some closeup photos!

Backside of Tag 2: Taking some scrap papers I cut into strips measuring 7/8 x 3 & 1/4 inches. Punch a hole on the top piece.

Glue them in place, trim the edges at the top of the tag. See photos:

Next I cut out "You are Great" sentiment from the extra element sheet. I glued on the back of my tag, along with acouple flower Creative diecuts. Here's a closeup:
