Master of Magic Interactive Card and Chipboard Tags Book

Hello Craft Friends!

Hope you're all having a great week so far.  I'm so happy you're here. We appreciate your support and hope my project will inspire you and get your creativity juices flowing!

Today I'll be using Tres Jolie May Cards Tags and More kit to create some fun new Interactive card designed by our owner of Tres Jolie Kim.  There's new Interactive card designs available in the shop here: https://tresjoliekits.com/collections/chipboard/products/laser-cut-shaped-cards

In the kit you will receive one set of Interactive pieces to create a card. The paper collection you'll receive in the kit is Stamperia "Master of Magic " 8x8 pad, Adhesive Diecuts package, along with Tres jolie Chipboard Film strip borders and Steampunk gears,  Prima Marketing Alphabet Cards-52 Total, Tonic Studios Craft Die- Filigree Flourishes. So grab a kit or kits today! Here's is a photo of the May Cards Tags and More kit:

I also will be creating a Flip Top Easel Card and Chipboard Tags Book. Some items I'll be using from my stash- Tim Holtz Distress Ink Gathered Twigs and Idea-ology Quote chips, foam squares, Ribbon, metal ring, gems and liquid pearls.

First off chose a patterned paper or papers and trace each interactive card piece onto your paper. Cut and glue all your interactive card pieces. I am inking all of my papers with Distress Ink, but you can omit this step if you prefer. See photos:

Now take your white interactive card pieces, score in the middle and fold in half. At the top of each piece score and 1/2 inch. Repeat this step for 3 pieces. See photos:

Now take your chipboard (bottom base)  and glue the largest white piece in the center, with the scored edge at the top. Take the next medium size piece and glue lining up at the bottom edge of the previous piece. Repeat with the smaller piece. Here's how it should look:

Take your chipboard pieces and adhere each one with glue onto the 1/2 inch scored tab. See photo:

Now you can decorate and add your Diecut pieces from the kit onto each of the pieces. I added a chipboard sentiment from my Tim Holtz Idea-ology stash. You could stamp a sentiment if you like. Keep in mind when adding embellishments, that they won't be bulky, you want your card to lay flat for easy mailing. Here's acouple photos:

On my upper large piece I added a large flower and acouple small flower diecuts. I adhered two gold gems in the center of my small flower diecuts.

On the middle section I added a sentiment chipboard piece. And one the smaller piece I adhered a small blue flower diecut. To finish my interactive card, i applied some light blue liquid pearls around the edge of my larger base. Here's some closeup photos of my finished card!

I made another Flip Top Easel Card and was inspired by Graphic45.

The card base for this card measures 4 &1/4 x 5 & 1/2 inches. (A-2 Size card)

Open up your card. Laying the 8 & 1/2 inch across your score board, score at 2 & 1/8 inches. Then score at 4 & 1/4. Crease and fold. See photo:

Chose a patterned paper and cut to 5 & 3/8 x 4 & 1/8 inches. Adhere this to the back flap at the top.  Cut 2 more pieces at 5 & 3/8 x 7 & 1/8. Adhere these on the 2 smaller flaps. See photos:

Take another patterned paper and cut to 4x8 inches. Score at 4 inches fold and adhere on the top section. See photo:

To create a belly band: I cut a 5 & 1/4 x 1 inch piece from the front piece from the cover sheet. See photo:

Add foam tape on both ends and adhere on the bottom flap. The Belly band will hold your top flap in place. See photos:

Cut another piece of paper to 3 & 3/4 x 3 & 3/4 inches.

Adhere this to the inside bottom section. You can add a sentiment or handwritten message here if you want. Take the Tonic Studios Craft Die from the kit, and a small scrap paper and diecut the middle section of the die.  See photo:

Trim off both ends of your diecut piece and glue this at the top of your inside flap. I added a butterfly diecut on the top flap, acouple small Diecut flowers on each side of my diecut piece, and a heart diecut at the bottom edge. See photo:

On the front Flip up  flap, I adhered this cute Bunny diecut! On the Belly band I added a small blue diecut flower on the right edge. Here's some closeup photos of my finished card:

Next we will create our Chipboard Tags Book! I'm using 3 Tres Jolie Chipboard Tags, find these in the Tres Jolie Shop here: https://tresjoliekits.com/collections/chipboard/products/miscellaneous

Taking some Folkart Vintage white acrylic paint (my stash) I applied my acrylic paint on both sides of each chipboard tag. Let dry.

Front Tag 1:

Now chose some patterned papers from our Card kit, and begin by tearing strips. I inked the edges using Tim Holtz Distress Ink Gathered Twigs before gluing my papers onto my tag. See photo:

Take one of the Tres Jolie chipboard Steampunk gears piece and cut apart, saving the arrow pieces. Also take out the Steampunk gal from the Adhesive Diecuts package. See photo:

Cut your chipboard gear and trim to fit across the top of your chipboard tag piece. With foam dots I adhered the Steampunk gal at the bottom right corner. I fussycut out a few hearts from a border strip on one of the papers. I glued these along the left edge. Here's a photo:

Tag 1 Backside: I tore another scrap paper and glued onto the left side. See photo:

From the Prima Alphabet Cards I tore off the top of the Q alphabet card. I inked the edges and glued at the top left edge at an angle. I cut out 5 playing cards from one of the papers. With foam dots I adhered on the right side overlapping each other. See photos:

I fussycut a small heart from the previous scrap border piece. I glued at the bottom right corner and adhered a feather diecut at the top of my tag. Here's a closeup photo!

Tag 2 Front: I cut a mushroom/gears paper to measure 3 x 5 & 3/8 inches, glue in place onto your tag base. See photo:

Gather some ephemera diecut mushrooms, bottle, flowers. See photo:

Add foam tape on the backside of the mushroom bottle and adhere on the bottom right corner. With foam tape i adhered the tiny mushroom on the left, red flower at the top right corner. I glued 2 tiny flower diecuts on the left side. With a stamp from my stash, I stamped this sentiment with black ink. Here's some closeup photos!

Tag 2 Backside: From the same paper, I cut a 3 x 5 3/8 inch piece and glued onto my tag base. See photo:

Take out the Door diecut piece, the G Alphabet card and from my stash, I chose this Tim Holtz idea-ology paper doll. I thought this paper doll looked just like a guard you'd see guarding an entrance. See photo:

Add foam tape to the backside of the door diecut. around the two sides and bottom edges, leaving the top open as a pocket. I adhered at the bottom edge. See photo:

I chose a G Alphabet card. The G Alphabet card stands for the G for guard. On the backside of my Alphabet card I adhered a small photo. Then tuck your Alphabet card inside your pocket! Here's some photos:

To finish I stamped another sentiment at the top above my door and added acouple diecut small flowers. Here's my finished tag.photo:

Tag 3 Front: tear another scrap piece, ink and glue onto your tag base. See photo:

I fussycut a few circles from one of the papers, and some gears.glue in scattered areas. See photo:

Take out the books diecut piece from your package. I adhered this at the bottom right corner. I also added another paper doll sitting on top of the books. See photo:

I glued my circle shapes at the left side and top left corner. The gears I adhered with foam dots on the upper right corner. Then added a chipboard sentiment from my stash in the center. Here's are some photos:

Tag 3 Backside: Cut papers to 3 x 5 3/8 inches. Glue in place. I took some diecut pieces- Mushrooms, flowers, leaves and butterfly. See photo:

I added foam dots to the backside of my large mushroom, and glued along the bottom edge. On the left bottom edge I added a blue flower and some leaves diecuts. At the top I added another flower diecut a Finnibair Mechanicals Steampunk gear piece from a previous Tres Jolie Kit. and tucked acouple small mushrooms behind my flower and metal gear. Here's some photos:

To finish our Chipboard Tags Book, I added a metal ring and thread all my tags onto the ring. Then tied some ribbons onto my metal ring! Here's a closeup look:
