Simple Journal with Rae
Happy Sunday!
Today I'm sharing a simple little journal that I made using just one sheet of paper, some cut outs and other embellishments of the August scrapbook kit.
I started out by using a planner die from Elizabeth Crafts from my stash. I love the design on the top and bottom that look like torn notebook paper- perfect for a little shabby chic journal. I was able to cut out 4 "pages" from one sheet of paper, which I distressed and added a light brown chalk ink to the edges.
For the front I used several cut out pieces (tickets, title, and other elements), and I also used the tabs and glued those to the edges of the inside pages, which I otherwise kept blank.
To bind the journal, I used some tiny clasp rings (Tim Holtz) from my stash.Â
Next, I created my cover design- I layered several pieces I cut out from the papers in the kit. For the title I added a Tim Holtz safety pin- I love the look of those! And I added one of the Melissa Frances resin pieces on top of the paper layers.
Lastly, I cut up the Prima vine to fit well on the small journal and glued it down.
Thanks for stopping by the blog!
