Shabby Little Bouquet Journal

Hi everyone,

Today I have a fun little Junk Journal we are going to make today, it's super easy to create. I hope you enjoy today's step by step tutorial as I will be using the April 2025 Card, Tag, and More Kit. I have all the links down below for all the items I used for this pretty Shabby Little Bouquet Journal.

April 2025 Card, Tag and More Kit

To start out you will need to regular cards, they can be any color you'd like. I am using some cards from a Card Kit I had left over.
Place your folded cards in a scoreboard and score both at 1/2 inches. This will give you a little spine.

Next in the spine section poke to holes about 3/4 inches to and inch away from the edges of the card. (See down below or view video tutorial for more details)

Next take your string that is inside your April 2025 Card Kit and pull two strands apart from each other and use these to put through the holes.
Create holes in the little journal that is in the kit that will match up to the holes you created on the spine. Pull string through the little journal and tie together.
(See down below or view video tutorial for more details)

Next grab the second card we scored and adhere one end of the card to the back of the other card.

After you are done tying off the midsection of the journal, you can cover the inside and outside of your junk journal.

With specific piece I decided to create pockets. I've done this technique many times. It's a very simple way to create pockets for your journals, folio's and mini albums.

Use double back tape, place it all around the edge of your pattern paper.

Next get your xacto knife and start 1/4 inch away from the edge and follow a line down to the end of the paper leaving a 1/4 inch from that end. Once your done you can adhere these down to inside flaps of your journal.
(See down below or view video tutorial for more details)

Next I took the film strip chipboard and painted it with gesso. You can paint your chipboard any color you would like. Once done set aside to dry.

After you paint your chipboard, Next you will thread the lace up in the film strip going in and out of the openings. Place glue behind the film strip, ***Leave a half inch without adhesive on the top film strip**
You will need this a little open to pull your lace through for your closure. Do not adhere the lace to the back as your book will not open.
(See down below or view video tutorial for more details)

For this little journal I did use all of the ephemera and decorated some of the pages inside to give you some ideas on putting together your own pages. I also used some previous kits from the shop, I will list those down below.
