Shabby Chic 3-Piece Wall Hanging Set
Hello Crafty Friends! I'm back with this extra project this week as I share what I created for this month's Mood Board Challenge. I absolutely loved creating this 3 piece wall hanging set using the June 2022 Mixed Media Kit.
Here is my mood board challenge project!
Included in the Mixed Media Kit are these fabulous Slimline Mixed Media Boards from TCW (The Crafters Workshop), I also used TCW Grecian Gold Modeling Paste with TCW Circular Rings Stencil. But before applying this on the middle board, I had distressed the edges of some paper from Lemoncraft Yesterday 12x12 paper pad which was a previous Tres Jolie Kit.
Once it was adhered, I took TCW Circular Stencil and sprayed some Thermo web Pixie Spray onto it then put it on the mixed media board that would be my center one. I only stenciled on a few spots on the board. Once it was dry I began to embellish these boards. On the two end boards I decided I would use the beautiful chipboard pieces from Tres Jolie. I applied Prima Marketing Finnabair White Heavy Gesso , then dried it with my heat tool.
I mixed up some Finnabair Liquid Fluid Color Medium, Finnabair Jewel Paste Crushed Crystal, Finnabair Mica Powder (Vintage Flowers) and a little water, then using a sponge brush I applied it to the chipboard pieces I had gessoed.
Next I was able to adhere a beautiful variety of Prima Marketing flowers, adding cheese cloth in between them. Then I added some small Finnabair Small Art Stones, medium and small pearls, and added some beautiful sticker sentiments from Prima Marketing. Now using my splatter brush with some Finnabair Art Alchemy Acrylic Paint ( Opal Magic-Rose Gold) & water I splattered all three boards.
I finished them off by adding some pink floral applique pieces from my stash as well as some small pearl trim along the edges of the chipboard. Well that is how I've created these and had a blast creating them! I do hope you will still try to join this month's Mood Board Challenge.
