Roots & Boots using January Scrapbooking kit

Hi Everyone, Jennifer here sharing another beautiful wedding layout. This kit was just so beautiful and perfect to document my niece's weddings. I choice one of the beautiful pattern papers and tore it in pieces and pieced it back together to create my layout size of 11x8 1/2. 

The title is a play on the country song "Blame it on my roots I showed up in boots" This is my niece and her grandparents. They all wore boots and cowboy hats to the wedding. 

I heat embossed the chipboard piece in gold. In order to get the smooth look you have to do it twice at least. I inked the edges of all the papers to give it an antique look.

I fussy cut the 3x4 cards and used the frames to add layers behind the photo. I used foam to pop up the flowers after inking the edges.

To create balance I added two different sizes of frames to each photo. 

I added flat back pearls from my stash in gold, white and black. I used both sides of the paper. The beautiful blue matched my mom and step dads shirt and the flowers in the bouquet. The adorable boots in the ephemera pack were perfect for the title. {Faces in the photos are blurry for internet purpose.}
