Romantic Cards and Tags

Hello Craft Friends!

Dana here! I'm thrilled to be back on the Tres Jolie blog! Finally got settled into our new house! I sure missed you all!

Today I'll be creating some Cards and matching Tags using the Tres Jolie March Cards Tags and More kit! Included in this month's kit is a 8x8 paper pad featuring beautiful and romantic papers from Stamperia "Romance Forever " collection! There are plenty of fussycut images, Tres Jolie Chipboard frames, find them here:

Prima marketing "With Love " flowers and some pink and white rose bunches, Prima Wood icons and a Finnibair Stamp! You even receive some 4 x 1/4 x 5 & 1/2 inch white card bases. Here's our featured Cards Tags and More kit:

I'll also be using some items from my stash and matching Ephemera, washi tape and adhesive diecuts from Stamperia. I also chose one 5x7 inch card base, Tim Holtz Distress Ink Rusty Hinge and Gathered Twigs, small tea stained paper doily, small white tags 2 & 1/2 x 4 & 1/2 inches, pink sequins, Prima Chalk Ink Sweet Pea, ribbon and tulle.

My first card is 5x7 inch size. Taking one of the white smaller card bases in this kit, I cut the card base in half. You can save the other piece and set aside. I chose a patterned paper from the 8x8 paper pad, and cut and adhered to my 5x7 inch card base.

I took another patterned paper and tore along the left edge.  Then taking Tim Holtz Distress Ink Rusty Hinge. I inked along the edges and lining up my torn paper piece on the right side of my smaller card base, I glued this in place. Here's a photo::

Next I fussycut one of the envelope images, a roses cluster diecut and washi tape sentiment. I cut my tea stained doily in half and glued behind my smaller card base. Here's a photo:

I adhered my fussycut envelopes to the bottom left edge of my card, using foam dots from my stash. I added the diecut roses at the top and applied my washi tape "to my love" sentiment in the center left edge. I glued a few pink sequins onto my card base. Here's a closeup!

On the inside of my card I took the leftover scrap paper and cut to size 7 x 3 inches and adhered as a side pocket on the right inside edge of my card. I fussycut one the sentiment pieces and glued on the left inside flap.

Using a small white tag from my stash, I cut out and trimmed one of the small tag images from the 8x8 paper pad. I glued this to my tag, tied some rose colored ribbon through the hole at the top of my tag and glued an epoxy butterfly embellishments over the top. Here's a closeup:

Card 2: Take one of the card bases in your kit, I cut my paper measuring 4 &1/4 x 5 & 1/2 inches, inked along the edges and glued onto the front of my card base. Set aside. Take one of the Tres Jolie chipboard frames from your kit (see all the chipboard frames and other chipboards available here: https://tresjoliekits.com/collections/chipboard/products/frames

and apply some Prima Chalk Ink Sweet Pea over the top of your chipboard frame. Let dry. I took one of the journal cards in your paper pad and a Sizzix Oval Die (my stash) and diecut the image, inked along the edges and adhered to the front of my chipboard frame. Adding some foam tape to the back of the chipboard frame i adhered in the center of my card. I fussycut the sentiment piece that was leftover from my journal card and a floral cluster and glued along the bottom of my chipboard frame.  From my stash, I applied a few silver gems on my frame. On the inside of this card, I applied a floral washi tape border strip on the right side. And cut out a tag sentiment from the paper pad and adhered it on the inside left side of my card.

I created another matching tag, using some leftover scrap paper, a image with two doves tag, which I adhered using foam dots and a few pearl gems! Here's some closeups!

Card 3: I created a Horizontal card using another patterned paper cut to fit on the small white card included in this kit. I tore a wood paper scrap, inked the edges and adhered at the top of my card. I cut out a heart/floral journal card and glued this towards the bottom of my card base. Taking acouple Prima Wood icons (X & O) from the kit, I glued these towards the bottom right corner. Taking one of the Prima Heart flowers in the kit, I glued it over the top of my journal card heart image. I cut out a small L'Amour sentiment, curled both ends and glued at the top. This adds some movement to your card. I applied a heart diecut at the top right corner and a lady diecut on the left side.  Here's a closeup:

On the inside of this card, I glued a scrap paper on the left inside of my card. For my tag, I cut out a matching sentiment journal card and glued to my tag base. I took acouple pink roses and white rose, glued them on the corner of my tag. I fussycut two tiny hearts and glued them onto my roses. I tied a piece of lace from my stash, through the hole on my tag and added a cute pink bow on top! Here's some photos:
