Purple Fantasy Mini Album

Hello Craft Friends!

Dana here! I'm excited to be here and share another project idea hope will inspire you! Today I'll be creating a Mini Album using the Memory Hardware Tall Album in our Cards Tags and More kit!

The papers and embellishments I chose to use are from the January Scrapbook kit. If you were only able to  purchase one kit, you can use the papers from the Card kit or Scrapbook kit. Any Album in your crafty stash would work too, you would just have adjust your measurements.

This month's Scrapbook kit features some gorgeous papers from 3 Quarter Designs " Lilac Euphoria " collection, including extra Diecut punchouts and fussycut elements, Tres Jolie Chipboard frame and Nature floral chipboard 2 piece, Prima Marketing Flowers 2 packs, Lace trim, Memory Hardware La Vie Antique Cloches pack. Here's a photo of the Scrapbook kit:

From my stash, Ill be using Gold Gliding Wax, crystal gems, Tim Holtz Idea-ology paper dolls, photos, foam dots, Folkart Vintage White acrylic paint, Stickles Glitter Stardust and Diamond.

To start our project, take your mini album and some Folkart Vintage white acrylic paint or any acrylic paint you have in your crafty supply. I applied about a 1 inch border of acrylic paint around the edges of each album page including the front and backside covers. Let dry.  See photo:

This album measures 5.5 x 7.5 inches. I cut my papers as follows:

Front and back covers: 4 & 3/4 x 7 inches, outside side panel 1 & 1/2 x 7 inches, Inside pages: 4 & 1/2 x 6 & 1/2 inches.

I chose a variety of different patterned papers from the Scrapbook kit to cover all my album pages including the front and back covers.

Front cover: base paper cut at 4 & 3/4 x 7 inches.

Second layer paper cut at 4 3/8 x 6 & 1/2 inches, adhere on top of your previous layer using foam dots.

Continue to adhere your papers to all your inside album pages. Set your album aside.

Take your Tres Jolie Chipboard Frame piece. Using my fingers, I rubbed some Gold Gliding Wax over the top of my chipboard frame. See photo:

Take out the patterned paper with the bird image. I cut to fit behind my chipboard frame so the bird is centered inside my Chipboard frame. See photo:

Take your frame and apply foam dots on the backside and adhere on the front of your album cover centered. This adds nice dimension. See photo:

Next I fussycut out the Lavender circle, and 2 Butterflies from the element sheet. See photo:

Take your piece of lace and glue onto the outside middle panel. See photo:

Now glue your Lavender Circle at the top followed by the 2 butterfly pieces. Here's a photo:

On the front cover, I cut out the sentiment "The Beautiful Life" and gathered a few other embellishments.

I glued the sentiment piece on the top of my chipboard frame. I applied some crystal gems on my frame, a Prima purple roses, and diecut punchouts flowers and jar. Then i applied some Stickles Stardust glitter on my floral images. Here's some closeup photos:

Open up your album. On the back inside front cover, I cut out one of the border sentiment strips and glued towards the bottom edge. With foam dots, I adhered my paper dolls.

Page 2: I glued the other leftover border sentiment strip at the bottom. Then with foam dots, I adhered a paperdoll. Here's a photo:

Page 3: I fussycut out a gold frame plate and cut the words "believe" from one of the border strips, and glued in place.  I added acouple purple Pearl gems from my stash, on each side of my gold frame and adhered at the bottom edge using foam dots. See photos:

Page 4: I cut a scrap paper,  to measure 2 & 1/2 x 6 & 1/2 inches and adhered as a pocket. From the paper with the kitty/books image, I scored it at 3 inches and folded in half.

I fussycut out a sentiment, and chose acouple diecut pieces. On the inside of my booklet, I adhered the sentiment piece using foam dots and adhered on the leftside. I glued the purple roses diecut at the bottom. On the opposite side I applied some glue only on the bottom half of my diecut and adhered at the bottom edge. I tucked a small photo behind my diecut piece. On my pocket i glued a fussycut butterfly. Here's some photos:

Page 5: I fussycut out a butterfly and glued at the top of my page. I adhered some paper dolls with foam dots on the park bench.

Page 6: I fussycut out a dragonfly, and sentiment frame and chose some diecut flowers.

I glued my assortment of Diecut flowers along the bottom, and sentiment and dragon fly at the top. You could add a photo here if you like. Here's how my album pages look:

Here's some photos:

Page 11: I cut a piece from the bunny paper to measure 4 & 1/2 x 4 & 1/2 inches. I scored a 1/2 inch at the top

add glue and adhere as a flip up page. On top of the scored edge, I applied a Dazzle sticker border from my stash. I added a photo underneath and another sentiment piece on the bottom below my photo.

Page 12: I fussycut out another journal card

And a bow, daisy punchout and bubble circle image. See photo:

With foam dots I adhered the bubble image at the top  I glued my journal card at a slight angle, added a photo, then glued my purple striped bow on the top right corner and daisy flowers on the bottom left corner. Here's some photos!

Page 13: From the purple element sheet I scored it at 3", 6" and 9" fold accordian style. Note: I decidedl not to use the typewriter diecut piece. See photo:

I applied some glue on the back flap  and adhered to my album page. see photo:

I added some small photos inside on each flap. On the front flap I cut apart a border strip sentiment and glued at the bottom edge. With foam dots I adhered the bird diecut. I chose two flower diecuts and glued as a stopper at the top and bottom edge. This will keep your accordian pull out closed. See photos:
