Pumpkin Chipboard Album

Hi Craft Friends!

Dana here! Happy October to you! When it comes to the autumn season,  pumpkins are the first thing that I think of. This month's  October Cards, Tags and More kit features some gorgeous Autumn Moods papers from Craft O Clock and even extra sheets of images and tags you can cut out and use to decorate all your cards and projects. In addition to all that, you will get this cute pumpkin chipboard album!

I'll be showing you how to decorate this album and hope to inspire you! All our designers will be sharing a variety of different projects throughout this month. So be sure to check them all out.

To begin our project, I spread some Paper Glaze medium from Pickett Fence, over the top using a small brush.  I applied Leaf Green onto the leaves and swirls and Marigold Orange on the bottom portion of the album. This paste dries pretty quickly. Continue to apply on all the the back sides of your album (leaf and swirls only) let dry. This paste adds a nice shimmer!

Then taking a Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle pen I brushed over top onto the leaves and pumpkin areas.

I chose some of the 12x12 papers I wanted to use to decorate my album pages. I traced around each pumpkin shape, cut out and adhered to my album using craft glue. The i trimmed away any excess paper using my x-acto knife. Using my Distress tool, I smoothed any rough edges on the sides of my album.

Now we are ready to decorate our pages of our album. I inked all my papers using Tim Holtz Distress Ink Gathered Twigs. I took and fussy cut some images from the extra papers packs.

Page 1: I covered my base with the mushrooms paper. Cut out one of the circle images and using foam dots, I adhered towards the bottom of my page. I fussy cut acouple mushrooms and leaves. The leaves I folded down the middle and bent slightly. This adds a dimensional look!

Page 2: I cut out another circle image and leaves. The sentiment is from my crafty stash. (Frank Garcia's Amber Moon chipboard stickers) I applied some Stickles Stardust glitter from my stash,  on my pumpkins. You could add a small photo if you like.

Page 3: I couldn't bear to cover up this beautiful paper so I only added a few Prima crystals (from my stash) a sentiment and some Stickles glitter on the birds head and feathers.

Page 4: I added a sticker sentiment and a few copper sequins in my stash.

Page 5: I fussy cut the pumpkin/basket image, and adhered as a pocket. I added acouple fussy cut small pumpkins using foam dots along the bottom of my image. I cut out a smaller circle image and tucked inside my pocket! Then added another sentiment.

Page 6: Fussy cut birds image and adhered on the right side of my page. Added acouple fussy cut sunflowers on top using foam dots. Adhered a puffy sticker sentiment below and a few glitter accents on my sunflowers!

Page 7: Circle image adhered using foam dots and So Blessed sentiment. Another great place for a small photo.

Page 8: Fall in Love sentiment from my craft stash, adhered with foam dots. A few clear leaves and butterfly stickers. Glitter accents on my pumpkins!

Page 9: Fussy cut a pumpkin, ghord and fox image in my stash (Frank Garcia's Amber sunset) I adhered my fox onto my page with foam dots and added a Prima flower on the bottom edge. (Both the fox and Prima flower were from my craft stash) Then tucked the ghord and small pumpkin behind my flower. To finish I added this cute fall jar sentiment. (Frank Garcia's Autumn Sunset collection) there is room for a photo here if you want.

Page 10: Fussy cut basket, I cut a small slit on the side of my basket then adhered onto my page with foam dots. I fussy cut out the little bird and slipped into the slot in my basket. Added a sentiment and a few Prima crystals!

Page 11: I didn't want to cover this pretty image so I just added a sentiment.

Page 12: I cut out a few circle images from the papers and glued onto my page scattered. Then I added a sentiment using foam dots.

To finish my album, I tied some Gold tulle through the holes and added a few autumn bulbs and tied into a bow! I glued one of the pretty flowers included in your kit at the top of my pumpkin front cover and added a few crystal gems from my stash onto the ends of the swirls! Here's a closeup!

Some more closeups for you!

I hope you enjoyed this project today and will grab a kit and start creating those fall projects and pumpkin album! Please share with us on our Facebook page! We love to see your crafty makes!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Dana
