Photos and Recipes Memory Box

Hello Craft Friends!

I'm Dana and I hope you are well and enjoying some nice Spring weather. Thank you for visiting the Tres Jolie Blog. Today i will be creating a Photo/Recipes Memory Box and Cards. I'm using the Tres Jolie May Scrapbook kit and some supplies from my stash

Our Scrapbook kit this month features some gorgeous Vintage papers from Tonic Studios called "Vintage Vignettes ".You'll receive 18 Luxury 12x12 patterned papers and on the back of the cover sheet there are many fussycut tags, and other elements you can cut out and use on all your projects! But there's more you get 2 Packs of Little Birdie flowers, Tres Jolie Chipboard Butterfly, Roses and Nature leaves pieces, lace, and Prima marketing Ephemera Frames pack-Return to Wonderland, 40 pieces in all! Here's a photo of this month's Scrapbook kit:

From my stash I'm using a wooden box measuring 6 & 1/2 x 3 & 1/2 inches,  4.5 inches deep. Folkart Conch Shell acrylic paint, foam tape, Brillance Ink-pearlscent Orchid and Versa Magic Pink Grapefruit Ink, Tim Holtz Idea-ology paper dolls, and Stamps, some photos, recipe Clippings, Vintage Knob, tiny sequins and gems, stapler and Distress Ink Gathered Twigs. The Wooden box I purchased at my craft store. I also did do some stitching on some of my journal cards. But you can omit the stitching if you prefer. I am also using some new Tres Jolie Chipboard designs perfect size for Cards and layouts. You can find them here: https://tresjoliekits.com/collections/chipboard/products/titles

Here's a photo of my wood box:

To start this project, I took some Folkart Conch Shell acrylic paint and applied about 1 inch of paint all around the outside edges including the inside top lid and bottom. See photos:

Set your wood box aside and let dry. Next I chose some patterned papers from the kit to decorate the outside panels and inside of my wood box. Here's the measurements i used when cutting out my papers.

Front of Box: 6 & 1/4 x 3 & 1/4 inches, Front panel: 6 & 1/4 x 4 inches, Top 5 & 1/2 x 2 & 1/2 inches, Sides: 3 & 1/4 x 4 inches. Backside of box: 6 & 1/4 x 3 & 1/4 inches. Top strip on Backside of box: 6 & 1/4 x 3/4.  Inside lid: 5 & 1/2 x 2 & 3/4 and inside bottom base: 5 & 1/2 x 2 & 3/4 inches. I inked all my papers before adhering them to my box. After adhering my papers, I took an xaco knife and slit my papers along the front, sides and back See photos:

Top Lid:

Next we can start decorating the top and front of our box. I chose one of the Ephemera Frames diecut pieces and glued a small photo behind my frame. I also chose a vintage knob to glue on the front top lid. See photo:

I took one of the new Tres Jolie chipboard Circle Love pieces, and applied some Prima Marketing Chalk Ink-Old Rose (my stash) and applied to my chipboard piece. See photo:

With foam tape I adhered my small photo/frame on the leftside on the top lid. I glued my Tres Jolie chipboard Love Circle piece and arranged several Little Birdie flowers from the kit on the top right side of my top lid. See photos:

On the outside front panel I took another Ephemera frame and glued a floral scrap behind my frame. See photo:

Then added some foam tape and adhered on the bottom right corner. I tucked some leaves from one of the flower packs and glued in place. With hot glue I adhered my vintage knob. See photo:

Open up your box, cut and glue 2 pieces the pink floral paper to the inside top lid and bottom inside. See photos:

To decorate the top inside lid I chose another new Tres Jolie Chipboard Cloud/sentiment piece. On the clouds insert applied some Versamark Clear ink and sprinkled some white Embossing powder  ( Both items from my stash) on my clouds. Then heat embossed. See photo:

Then on the words- dream, I applied some Pink Smooch ink (my stash) over my words. Let dry. See photo :

After this chipboard has dried, glue at the top inside lid and I added a small Little Birdie flowers in the center of my chipboard cloud. Here's a photo:

Now from our Tonic Studios paper pack,  I cut out a variety of Journaling cards and i also cut out a few 6x4 inch cards from the other patterned papers and scraps in my kit. See photo:

All Journaling Cards measure 6x4 inches.

On the other two journal cards i added a recipe on the front of each card. Here's acouple photos:

I stapled this tag on the backside top left corner. On the bottom flap inside added a photo. Here's some photos:

Card 10: (Last) I took another Tres Jolie chipboard Circle Happy, and cut out a 6x4 inch scrap from the Paris Effiel tower paper. I left the chipboard as is and glued at the top left corner,  added a photo. From the backside of the cover sheet, I cut out a butterfly piece and folded in half. I glued this on both the front and backside of my journal card on the right edge. Here's some photos:

Back of Card 10: I punched out a Ephemera Circle Frame and glued in the center. With foam tape I added some Tim Holtz Idea-ology paper dolls along the bottom of my frame to make them appear to be sitting on the edge of the frame. I glued a Little Birdie flower at the top! Here's a photo:
