Happy Monday guys, Kim here. Today I am here to share another project for March. As I said before, I'm really enjoying working with this kit. So much so, that I actually purchased one. If you haven't seen it, here it is:

I'm sure you've heard by now, we have partnered with Sketches in Thyme this month, so my layout is based on one of their March sketches. Make sure you check out the challenges over there.

Here is my layout:

I moved a few things around on the sketch to make this work for me. I moved the banners to the right hand side of the photo and used tags instead. I also added more layers behind my photo and moved the title.

How about some close ups:

Here you can see where I did some distressing on the paper edges along with some light inking. I also did some faux stitching. I think this is a great look on masculine pages.

For the border along the side of the photo, I used the Ticket border set 1. To alter it, I used Rae's technique. I fussy cut the clock from the ephemera sheet that comes in the kit.

This was a simple layout using a simple sketch. It didn't take much embellishing other than the border, a few layers under the photo and some tags to make. All in all I love how it turned out. Sometimes simple is best.

Tres Jolie always hosts a monthly sketch or mood board challenge. For the new year we changed up our challenges. We will continue to provide a “mood board” or sketch, it’s just that the rules changed. We want to include our laser-cut chipboard in the challenge. So, with that being said, here are the new rules.

*You can create any type of project for the challenge. 
*You MUST say what you were inspired by. 
*You MUST include the twist in your design. 
*We would love to see you USE AT LEAST 1 OF Tres Jolie's products on your projects but it isn’t required to play along.
It MUST be a new project.
