My Mother's 5th Anniversary Memorial
Hello everyone! Jeanne back again with my last project of the month using both the August Card, Tags & More Kit and the August Mixed Media Kit. Both of these kits meshed so well and I'm excited how lovely this turned out to be.
The 5th Anniversary of my Mother's passing is coming up on November, 08 and so I decided this is what I would create for her.
I remember when I was very young, mom had a a beautiful flower bed right in the center of our lawn, it looked similar to this that I have created. She absolutely loved gardening, and it was one of my most favorite memories of her.
I began by painting the 3 wooden trays that come in the Mixed Media Kit, I used Folk Ark Vintage White to paint these trays. I also painted the Egg Shrine which I painted with White Acrylic Paint. I then measured out some of the papers from the 6x6 paper pad Belle Fleur that is included in the Cards, Tags, & More.
I then took a beautiful napkin that I received on a swap I did a while back, and I decoupaged it onto the inside of the egg shrine. I then adhered a cross that I had in my stash, inside the egg
I set the egg aside and thought I would add some of the Tim Holtz Hardware Heads from a previous kit , to the edges of the frames. Once I finished this, I arranged the trays and adhered them together. I adhered the egg shrine to the top tray and began adding the flowers to all of the trays. Most of the flowers are from different kits from Tres Jolie.
I added all of the flowers mainly the front and sides. I won't be needing to add them on the back part. Once I've had them all adhered, I added some pearl embellishments, a Resin bird and small metal flowers from previous kits as well. Finishing this off with Prima Marketing Finnabair Jewel Effect Paste Crushed Crystal to all of the flowers using a paint brush.
