More Sweet Valentine card ideas
I had lots of scraps left from the kit so decided to make some more cards to share with you.
Deer Card
Materials and Measurements
card base – White 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″ on the long side
Early Espresso layer – 4″ x 5 1/4″
deer pattern paper – 3 13/16" x 5 1/16"
Sentiment punch out from kit
White frayed ribbon to pull apart
Step by Step
- Fold and burnish the card base.
- Glue the deer pattern paper to the brown layer.
- Take your White Frayed ribbon and pull one strand to unravel the ribbon. You will use the unraveled part.
- Wrap the skinny unraveled ribbon 3 times around the bottom of the deer panel creating a criss cross pattern. Secure it on the back using double sided tape
5. Take a piece of the unraveled ribbon and tie a bow around the 3 ribbon strands you
gathering them as you tie the knot of the bow. See photo above.
6. Attach the panel from Step 5 to the card base.
7. Choose a sentiment from the punch outs and add it to the upper left hand corner
with a foam dot.
8. Find an image to stamp the inside of the card and envelope before you send it out
to brighten someone's day.
Koala Card
Materials and Measurements
card base – White 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″ on the long side
brown layer – 4″ x 5 1/4″
White layer - 3 13/16" x 5 1/16"
brown half layer - 2 1/2" x 3 13/16"
Pink striped pattern paper layer - 2 5/16" x 3 5/8"
Brown twine

Step by Step
- Fold and burnish the card base.
- Glue the Pink striped pattern paper to the brown half layer.
- Attach the layer from Step 2 to the White layer making sure the sides are even and about 1/8" from the bottom of the White layer. See photo above.
- Take your brown twine and wrap it around the White panel 3 times. The first will be about 1/4" from the top of the pink striped panel. The second will be in the middle of the pink striped panel. The last will be about 1/4" from the bottom of the pink striped panel. Secure it on the back with double sided tape.
- Use the brown twine to make 3 small bows. Add the bow to the twine at the top with a glue dot on the left hand side about 3/4" from the left side. Add the second bow to the middle twine using a glue dot. The last bow is added to the bottom twine with a glue dot about 3/4" from the right edge.
6. Attach the white panel from Step 5 to the large brown panel leaving even spacing
on all sides. Make sure to use strong adhesive over the twine to ensure they stick.
7. Add the koala heart in the upper left side on the white panel.
8. Choose a sentiment from the punch outs and add it to the middle of the card base
on the right hand side with a foam dot. See photo above.
9. Find an image to stamp the inside of the card and envelope before you send it out
to brighten someone's day.
Die Cut card
Materials and Measurements
card base – White 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″ on the long side
white - scrap for die cutting
pink layer – 4″ x 5 1/4″
pink checked layer - 3 13/16" x 5 1/16"
pink small panel – 2 3/4" x 4"
Tulip pattern paper – 2 9/16" x 3 13/16"

Step by Step
- Fold and burnish the card base.
- Add the pink checked pattern paper to the large pink panel.
- Glue the pink panel from Step 2 to the card base centering on all sides.
- Attach the tulip pattern paper to the smaller pink panel. Add this panel to the card front using foam dots making sure to center on all sides.
- Use the die cut and the scrap of white to cut out the shape.

Stamp your sentiment using a pink ink that matches in the solid area of the die cut.
- Attach the die cut to the small tulip panel on the card front centering as best you can.
- Add 3 gold half pearls to the die cut. Adjust where they are added based on your sentiment.
