Mixed Media Canvas | Shannon Allor
Hello friends! It's Shannon up on the blog today. I am so honored to be Guest Designing this month. I could not wait to jump right in and use the Mixed Media Kit for this project!
I quickly sketched a lovely lady in the bottom right corner. I was so inspired by the artwork in the Card Kit that I used an image for reference. This gave me the perfect guide to know where to place my stencil and use the Prima Molding paste!
Next, I squeezed out the smallest amount of each of the three Prima paints. They have the most lovely translucent quality. They can be thinned out with a bit of water or used full strength. I loved creating new tones by mixing them!
I continued to add color as well as a bit of white paint from my stash to add highlights and lighten up my Prima paints. I am loving how this is turning out! To add a nice amount of texture, I mixed the Prima Paints with the Molding powder. It feels just like sugar sand. I love the look!
Here you can see how nicely it all came together! I borrowed a couple of small Prima flowers and some wordy bits from another kit for a nice bit of contrast.
I cannot say enough about how much fun I had working with these gorgeous products!
