"Miss Bea's Sweet Life" Acrylic Tag

Hello Crafty Friends! This week I am back sharing this fun tag I created using this month's Scrapbook Kit from Tres Jolie Kit! This kit includes the super cute collection " Lemon Zest" from Simple Stories! 

For this project I decided I would use a recycled piece of acrylic I had saved from some packaging. I also had purchased the super cute Julie Nutting Stamp "Miss Bea" . Here are the quick steps I took to making this adorable tag.

I began with the piece of recycled acrylic which measures 5 1/4 X 6 3/4, using the Prima Marketing Doily Stencil and some of the TCW Gamboge Stencil Butter, from a previous Tres Jolie Kit, I stenciled onto the acrylic. I set that aside to air dry, I cut of piece of Prima Marketing Watercolor Paper and also a piece of the Lemon Twist Happy Thoughts (Item # 15205) paper from the 12 X 12 sheets. Then I stamped the adorable Julie Nutting Stamp "Miss Bea" onto both the water color paper and Happy Thoughts paper. I did this on the pattern paper so I can paper piece the headband part of the image, which as probably many of you know as paper piecing.   

      

As for the stamped image on watercolor paper, I decided I would use some of my alcohol markers (Shuttle Art) to color the stamped image. I'm not the best as using these but we sometimes must go forward and try than to not try at all. I hope one day learn how to color properly with these. 

I used a dark brown marker on her hair and a pale marker for her skin, light pink on her eye lid, a cherry red on her lips, light brown on her eye and a yellow on her hair tie. 

I then took some of the ephemera pieces from the Bits & Pieces pack, some Prima Marketing flowers from the Scrapbook Kit as well as some from my stash and the piece of chipboard frame from the kit and began putting it all together. I did cut the chipboard frame in half. The stamped colored image I cut out and then I added some pieces of foam tape for added dimension. I then used Fabri Tac to adhere everything together since it is a clear adhesive. 

 I did add a small bee from the sticker sheet and some small and medium pearls on the flowers. In between the flowers I did add some Fabulous Fibers (Peacock) from Brutus Monroe. Lastly added a piece of black seam binding on the hole I had punched on it. 

** I did forget to add that I made a hole using my We R Memory Keepers hole punch 1/2 in. into the piece of acrylic. Then using that same hole punch I made a hole onto a scrap piece of pattern paper from my 1st project this month, the Easy Peasy (Item # 15208) and also using my 1/2 inch circle punch, made a tag fastener. ( I did this without taking a photo, I remembered after I had already adhered it onto the acrylic.

So as you can see, you can create something beautiful that doesn't need to take a whole lot of time! I didn't want to add anymore to this tag because I wanted the acrylic to be visible.
