Merry and Bright Christmas Cards & Tags
Hello Crafty Friends!
Welcome to our Tres Jolie Blog. Appreciate you all. December has arrived and I love creating those Christmas projects and sharing some Christmas inspiration with you!
Today I'll be creating some Christmas cards and Tres Jolie Chipboard Tags! To create them I'm using the new December Tres Jolie Cards Tags and More kit.
The kit includes 2- 12x12 Red Cardstock, 4 piece 8 &1/2 x 11 inches white Bazzill Cardstock, Tres Jolie Chipboard Pendant flags piece, 6x8 paper pad filled with beautiful Christmas patterned papers-18 sheets, some glittered ribbon, 2 Dresden Christmas Bells/holly pieces, 3 small red dollies, Tim Holtz Idea-ology Ephemera pack and Little Birdie flowers!
Hope you order your kit now so you can start creating your Christmas cards and more! Here's a photo of the Card kit:

From my stash I will use: score board, Distress Ink Gathered Twigs, Stickles Glitter Stardust, Holly, Christmas Red and Diamond, gold star, Gold Tulle, twine, hole punch, foam dots, tape, pine branches and berries.
The card bases I will be cutting from the white Cardstock inside this kit. I cut to measure 4 & 1/4 x 1l, score at 5 & 1/2 inches.

Fold to get 2 A2 sized cards from one sheet. See photo:

Card #1: I took a green patterned paper from the kit. I cut to measure 4 x 5 & 1/4 adhere onto your white card base leaving a white border around the edges. See photo:

From the Ephemera pack I chose this cute adorable angel card, tree and sentiment. I took the music paper and torn diagonally. See photo:

I glued my torn music paper along the leftside, tucking part of my angel card behind and adhered them in place with glue. I added foam dots to the backside of my tree and adhered over my music paper. With foam dots I added the Ephemera sentiment along the bottom edge. I added a small star on the top of my tree. Then applied some Stickles Glitter Holly to the tree branches on my tree and angel card. I applied some Stickles Diamond Glitter on the angel wings and her dress. Here's a finished photo of my card:

Card #2: Taking the red/green stripes paper, I cut to 5 & 1/4 x 4 & 3/8 inches, I cut the pine needles paper to 4 & 7/8 x 3 & 7/8.

Glue your stripes paper horizontally onto your white card base. With foam dots add your pinecone/needles paper on top. This adds a nice dimensional look.

Find the small Ephemera postcard piece, winter scene card and Holly piece from the Ephemera pack.

I glued the winter scene card along the bottom left edge, tucking the small postcard behind. With foam dots I added the Holly piece at the top right corner. Then apply some Stickles Glitter Stardust on the trees and snow, Stickles Holly on the Holly leaves and Christmas Red Stickles on the berries. Here's some photos:

Card #3 This card will be a A7 (5x7) card size. From the white Cardstock inside this kit, I cut this piece to measure 7x10 inches, cutting off 1 & 1/2 inch from the short side.

And 1 inch off the longer side. Score in half at 5" and fold to make 5x7.
Take the red Cardstock inside this kit and cut to measure 4 & 3/8 x 6 & 1/2 inches, leaving a white border around the edges. Adhere to your white card base using foam tape.

Take a scrap piece of the stripes paper and cut to 3 & 3/4 x 5 inches. From the ornaments box paper I cut from the center left a piece with 9 ornaments. See photo:

Set these aside and take out your TJ Chipboard Pendant flags piece. I trimmed off with 5 pendant flags intact. Take the black/white checkered paper and glued your Chipboard Pendant flags on the backside of this paper. See photo:

Using my x-acto knife (my stash) I trimmed off any excess paper. See photo:

Here's how it should look:

Taking some black/white twine, I tied into 2 bows and glued on each end of my pendant flag Chipboard piece. Then using foam dots on the backside, I adhered at the top edge on my card.

From the Ephemera pack, I chose a gift tag, Merry Christmas sentiment piece, 25 Dec piece and some pine needles branch, along with the stripes paper scrap we cut previously See photo:

Take your gift tag and punch a small hole on the leftside. I threw a piece of string from my stash through the hole and knotted at the end. I glued my stripes paper centered onto my card. With foam dots, I adhered the ornaments paper, over top of my stripes paper piece. With foam dots I adhered the gift tag above my ornaments and the Dec 25 piece on the bottom right corner. I tucked some pine branches and berries behind my ornaments box. I applied some Stickles Glitter Diamond on some of the ornaments and pinecone. Here's some finished photos!

Now we can create a couple Chipboard Tags from the Tres Jolie Kit Club shop! You can find both the small and large tags here:
https://tresjoliekits.com/collections/chipboard/products/miscellaneous
My first Chipboard Tag is the smaller one.

Taking White Poinsetta/red roses paper, cut it to measure 6 & 1/2 x 3 & 1/4 inches.

Punch a hole at the top and glue onto your Chipboard tag base. Trim off the 2 corners at the top.

Take one of the small red dollies inside the kit and cut in half. Glue one half along the leftside. See photo:

From the Ephemera pack I chose a Holly piece, Merry Christmas cards, couple flowers and one of the Dresden Christmas Bells.

With foam tape I adhered the Christmas card in the center. I cut a piece of the glittered trim in the kit, and glued along the bottom edge. I added the Dresden Christmas Bells piece on top right corner. With foam dots I adhered the Holly piece at the top left corner. I glued one flower at the top and bottom edges on my Christmas card sentiment piece. To finish it applied some Stickles Glitter Holly, and Christmas Red on the Holly and berries. Taking some gold Tulle I tied and knotted through the hole on my tag. Then glued some Holly and berries (my stash) on top of my Tulle. Here's some closeup photos!

Tag #2: I will be using the larger Chipboard tag. From the red Cardstock inside the kit, i cut a piece measuring 3 & 7/8 x 8 & 3/4 inches. Punch your hole and glue in place. Taking a Holly piece from the Ephemera pack I glued along the bottom edge.

Next take a piece of the woodgrain paper and cut to measure 3 & 5/8 x 6 inches. Using my Distress tool from my stash, I distressed and inked along the edges.

From the Ephemera pack I chose the Holly oval frame, house scene oval piece, deer, tape measure, and 220 branch street strip,

Take the scrap pinecone/needles paper, I tore into 3 pieces.

With foam dots I adhered my woodgrain paper onto my tag base. Then I randomly glued my 3 torn pieces. See photo:

Next take the oval Holly frame and add some foam dots to the backside and adhere centered. I glued the oval house piece inside my frame. With foam dots I adhered the deer below my frame and overlapping my frame. I glued the tape measure at the bottom edge on my Chipboard tag. And the 220 Branch Street piece below my deer. I chose a red banner sentiment from the Ephemera pack and glued at the top. To finish my tag, I tied some of the glittered trim through the hole on my tag and glued a flower on top! Here's a couple photos:
