"Memories are Timeless Treasures of the Heart" Layout
Hi Tres Jolie Fans! Jeanne here back this new week and of course a new month of sharing what I've created using the newest Scrapbook Kit from Tres Jolie which includes beautiful papers from Scrapaholics "Memoirs" collection. On this layout that I've created which features my oldest son Sky, I did use the "Timeless" sheet from the collection which is absolutely beautiful! It took me a little bit to decide which one I would end up using since they are all absolutely stunning.
I began by brushing on some Ranger Emboss It Embossing Ink from the dauber bottle, along the edges of the paper that I had chose. I then sprinkled the Gary Burlin Embossing Powder (Ultra Gold) from the kit then used my heat tool to activate the beautiful color it turned to.
I also used the embossing powder on the decorative chipboard piece that is from last month's mixed media kit from Tres Jolie. I then remembered that I had a couple of Tim Holtz Pocket Watch die cuts from a friend I did a tag swap with when I first started crafting. So I brushed the embossing ink on this once again and embossed the gold powder along the edges of this clock.
I then cut some gears and a clock from the cut out sheet included in the paper collection. I used some Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink around the gears. When it came time to adhere them to the pocket wash die cut, I added double sided tape on the gear and the clock for a dimensional look and finished it by adding one of the Frank Garcia Memory Hardware Petite Round Frames from my stash.
I added a metal clock face from a previous year kit from Tres Jolie and then also added on two of the Stanislus Clock and Gears Charms from the current Scrapbook Kit in a couple spots as you can see on the photos above ^^^^^^^
I fussy cut some of the flowers from the cut out sheet and adhered them using double sided foam tape. I then added some beautiful Prima Marketing flowers I had from past Tres Jolie Kits. I do keep all of my left over products from past Tres Jolie kits together since they can come in handy in projects down the road.
On the backing of my son's photo, I used a recycled box which I corrugated it and adhered it with foam tape. I then adhered the photo onto it in which I had already put it onto a white piece of card stock.
I finished it off by adding Finnabair Small Art Stones as well as clear seed beads from my stash. Then added some Prima Marketing Memory Hardware Remnant Fragments Metallic Beads and a couple of the Prima Marketing Vintage Mechanism Roman Numerals as seen above. Also the small "S" ephemera for my sons initial.
