Making Fall ATC Cards

Hi Crafty Friends! Jeanne here this week to share with you how I've created these Fall ATC Cards known as Artist Trading Cards. These cards are for swapping with other crafty friends, they come is a wide range of themes, styles, for some even sizes. There are also ATC coins, which I will be doing a tutorial sometime for these.
I was inspired to create these by putting to use some of the cut out sheets from this month's Cards, Tags, & More Kit.  I absolutely enjoy fussy cutting so these are perfect.
So here is how I created these Fall ATC cards!
These ATC cards can be made with any base you would like for example like chipboards, heavy card stock, recycled card board, etc. I've created using all of these, but this time I thought I'd use Prima Marketing Water Color Paper from my stash. I've never used this but I like playing around when making these ATCs.

I cut the water color paper 3.5 X 2.5 I went over these cut pieces with Finnabair Heavy White Gesso. While I let that air dry, I cut up some coffee dyed book paper I had in my junk journal stash and I adhered it to random spots on my cards. Next I decided I wanted to do some stenciling on my cards, so I took one of the Prima Marketing stencils that was from a previous Tres Jolie Kit and I went over this stencil using some Finnabair Modeling Paste from my stash. I then went over it using Finnabair Clear Gesso once the stenciled design has dried.

Once the clear gesso has dried, I used some Lindy's Sprays and Finnabair Mica powders onto the cards. On the ones I used Lindy's Sprays from my stash, I didn't spray directly on them, using the bottom end of the sprayer, I just added a little bit of color then sprayed some water and moved the water around the card. Repeating this as necessary to cover the card. For the other two that I used Finnabair Mica powders, I sprayed water down on my glass media mat then sprinkled some of the mica powders then using a small paint brush, I went over the cards.

While these cards air dried, I began on fussy cutting some of the leaves, pumpkins, cut out images, branches, and more from the cut out sheets that are part of the Craft O' Clock Autumn Moods collection. Once I cut out the ones I had selected, I inked them using Vintage Photo Distress Ink from Tim Holtz also inking one of the cards with Vintage Photo and the another one Iced Spruce Distress Ink. The other two I left without inking the edge of the cards. The I began putting them together using these cut outs adding foam tape on most of them making them look a little more dimensional.

Once all of the pieces were adhered on, I added some Prima Marketing flowers from my stash and also added some Tim Holtz sentiments stickers. Lastly I mixed in some white acrylic paint with water and flickered it around the cards.
I absolutely had the greatest time creating these, I'll probably make more when time permits. As I mentioned before I will sometime make some ATC coins with a booklet for you all. I hope that you have enjoyed reading how I've created these ATC cards and have gotten some ideas on how you can use some of the sprays and other products you might have in your stash you rarely use like I do. I need to use some of these products more often. I'm sure we all have those certain products that we don't  use as much as we should be.
I will be back next time with a brand new month and brand new kits from Tres Jolie! So stay tuned till then!! Don't forget you still have time to join in the Mood Board Challenge! Have a great weekend and a safe and fun Happy Halloween!!
