"Magical Christmas" Scrapbook Layout
Hello everyone! Jeanne here back this week to share with you what I have created for this week's project. This month's Scrapbook Kit from Tres Jolie is just perfect for a Christmas Layout that features my beautiful grand daughters earlier this month.
Here is what I've come up with using the beautiful collection from Simple Stories Vintage Christmas Lodge.
I began by choosing a couple of papers from the Simple Stories 12x12 paper, I did cut the top paper at 10x10, used my Prima Marketing Distress tool around the edges. Once done with the distressing, I mixed up some Lindy's Stamp gang Magicals (Bayou Boogie Gold) with water and I brushed it along the distressed edges of the papers. Then adhered to the chipboard piece I use for my base.
I then took the printed photo I have chosen and adhered it on to a paper from a previous 49 and Market Christmas kit from Tres Jolie, layered it with another paper from Tim Holtz, another kit as well from Tres Jolie. I adhered these onto a larger piece of ephemera from a past kit and onto the base.
I decided I wanted to add a lace/trim so I came across this black with gold roses from my stash and adhered it with hot glue.
I have also added some gold floral sprays from my stash to this layout. I had this tiny ivory frame that I added a piece of pattern paper to the back then added some tiny ivory and gold pearl embellishments.
I then began adding the flowers to the base of this layout. I used all of the flowers from the Scrapbook Kit, I also used some Prima Marketing flowers from another previous kit. I had some also from 49 and Market (the ones with red glitter). Finishing the flowers with the super cute 49 and Market (Salt Florets).
I very much enjoyed creating this layout which I will be displaying for Christmas!
