"Love is Beauty" ATC tag and pocket album
Hello again Craft Friends!
Dana here and I'm back to share another November project with you today, using the Tres Jolie November Scrapbook kit.
This month's Scrapbook kit is jam-packed with beautiful 12x12 papers from Craft O Clock "Vintage Beauty"and beautiful flowers, from Little Birdie. There are so many extra sheets of vintage images and floral to fussy cut. I thought it would be fun to create a ATC tag and pocket album and use all the great embellishments to decorate your album. You'll want to be sure to grab your kit before they are gone!
I am using my favorite Tim Holtz Distress Ink Gathered Twigs to Ink all my papers. I'll list my measurements as we go along.
First I like to chose coordinating papers and adhere to all my base pages including the front and back covers. Front/back covers papers measure 3 & 3/4 x 4 & 3/4.
All my base pages measure 3 & 1/4 x 4 & 1/4 inches. Small tags measure 2 & 3/8 x 2 & 7/8 inches. Pocket Front papers measure 3 & 1/4 x 1 & 1/2 inches. Top of pocket page measures 3 & 1/4 x 3 inches.
For the side portion of my album, I made a template from scrap cardstock (in my stash) I traced and cut out. Using a xaco knife (my stash) I cut out the middle portion where the metal bracket is. See photo.
Then glue your paper onto the side of your album, exposing the metal bracket area. I cut out one of the small images from the extra papers and slipped inside my metal bracket. Then I glued a threaded vintage rose button towards the bottom edge.
Next I took some cream cardstock from my stash and cut to measure 4 x 3 & 1/2 inches. Round all corners using a corner rounder punch.
These cards will slip inside the four hidden pockets inside your album. I covered all four cards with coordinating papers measuring 3 & 1/4 x 3 & 3/4 inches. I glued my paper only on the front side of my cards. You could add a photo on the back if you like.
Front cover: to decorate my cover, I used a leftover chipboard leaves piece from my previous project and adhered at a slight angle towards the bottom of my cover. I glued some flowers onto my chipboard leaves in scattered areas. I brushed a tiny amount of Luna paste (Moonlight Pearl from my stash) onto some of my flower petals. The chipboard sentiment I had in my Prima stash, and glued at the top. Then I fussy cut the little teacup and adhered with foam dots on the lower left side. Here are some closeups!
Inside front cover: glued a patterned paper along the left side and glued a piece of vintage lace on the right side.
