Lilacs and Lavender Layout
Hello Craft Friends!
My name is Dana. Hope you are having a great New Year so far. Thank you for visiting our Tres Jolie blog! Today I have a layout project to share. I'll be using the Tres Jolie January Scrapbook kit. The patterned paper collection is from 3 Quarter Designs, called "Lilac Euphoria " Wait till you see what's in the kit. The papers are bursting with colors of lavender and gold, and beautiful Lilacs! You'll receive 10-12x12 double sided patterned papers, plus 2 bonus pages on the backside of each cover sheet, photo mats, elements and words, and 2 sheets of Diecut elements you can punch out and use to embellish your layouts! But there's more, you will receive Tres Jolie Chipboard frame and Nature floral/leaves 2 Chipboard pieces, Prima Marketing flower packs -2 total Soprano purple and Labelle Trinidad packs, lace trim and Memory Hardware La Vie Antique Cloches! From my stash i will be using: xaco knife, foam dots, Stickles Glitter Diamond.
To start I chose one of patterned papers for the background of my layout. I like to chose a photo or more and plan out what theme I'm going with. Here's the paper I chose:
Next I cut out one of the frames from the element sheet and using my x-acto knife, I cut around the purple roses. I took the light purple element strip and cut and matted my roses frame on top. Then I slipped my small photo underneath my purple roses. See photo:
Set aside your layout and frame. Cut out one of the small lilac square from the "Grow your Dreams" element sheet. Taking one of the Antique Cloches in the kit, ( I chose "La Vie" means the life)
Glue the lilac piece behind your Antique Cloche. Trim away any excess paper using an x-acto knife. I use Glossy Accents from my stash, as my adhesive to use. It dries clear so the lilacs will show through the Cloche. Let dry. See photo:
While your Antique Cloche is drying, I fussycut out some butterflies, chose some punchout diecut pieces, Prima Marketing flower Simple Pleasures and As the Rosemary is...sentiment pieces. For the Rosemary sentiment strip, I took my bone folder from my stash, and curled both ends slightly to create movement.
Next I arranged all my embellishments where I desire, before gluing in place.
At the top, I glued a Prima marketing purple roses above the window and upper right corner. With foam dots, I adhered the diecut lilacs piece. Here's acouple photos:
On the bottom left corner, i glued my photo mat/frame. With foam dots, I adhered my "Simple Pleasures" sentiment and along the bottom edge, I applied some glue in the center of my curled sentiment strip and adhered below my photo. I glued my Antique Cloche onto the right side of my photo. On the left side of my photo frame, I arranged some of the Diecut flowers and a pretty Prima purple flower at the top! on the bottom right corner I applied foam dots on the back of the bunny rabbit diecut piece and adhered my bunny next to the purple Lilies. I took some Stickles Diamond glitter and added some to the lilly petals. Here's a photo:
I glued the 2 Butterflies in the center. I applied some Stickles Diamond glitter on the butterfly wings, lillacs, and diecut flowers. Here's another look at my finished layout!

January Mood Board
