"Life Happens " ATC Cards and File Box

Hello Crafty Peeps!

My name is Dana and I  thank you for visiting the Tres Jolie Blog! Today I'll be creating a ATC File box and Cards, using our Tres Jolie December Scrapbook kit!

This is a fabulous kit with beautiful papers from Photoplay "Beautiful Junque " collection, Tres Jolie Chipboard ticket borders and Butterfly,  2 large paper dollies and 2 book sheets, 49&Market flowers-2 packs and Prima flowers! Here's a photo of the Scrapbook kit:

Isn't it beautiful? Don't wait to order your kit since they do sell out quickly!

From my stash I'll be using: Tim Holtz Idea-ology File Box, Sizzix Thinlets dies- envelopes and cardstock tags and card bases, some jute cord, Distress Ink Gathered Twigs and pearl gems and Tim Holtz Idea-ology CelloTape. See photo:

My File box measures 3 & 5/8 x 5 & 3/8. So I'll be cutting my file cards and diecut envelopes to fit inside. This is a great way to use up leftover paper scraps! Plus I think it's fun and a good way to add small photos.

To start, I will decorate my file box on the inside and outside. I'm will be applying Tim Holtz Distress Ink Gathered Twigs to the edges of all my papers and File cards.

I cut 2 pieces the Floral Flea Market paper to measure 5 & 3/8 x 1 & 3/4 inches. For the front and  back of my box, I cut the same paper to measure 3 & 3/8 x 1 & 3/4 inches. Glue your papers in place. See photos:

Side of box:

 Back of box:

Using the same floral paper in covered the inside. I cut my papers to measure: 3 & 1/4 x 1 & 1/2 inches, short sides- 1 & 1/2 x 1 & 1/2 and bottom pieces- 3 & 1/4 x 1 & 1/2 inches. Glue them in place. Here's a photo:

On the front inside metal label i added a "Life Happens" sticker. See photo:

Now we can set our File box aside for now and start creating our File cards and envelopes.

Card 1: I cut out the journal card "Be Happy " and glued on the front of my file tab card. I glued a small pink 49 and Market flower on the front tab. I covered the backside with matching floral paper and added 3 small heart stickers onto the tab. Here's some photos:

 Backside:

Envelope #2: I diecut my envelope from the pink floral paper, using a Sizzix Thinlets die. I cut out one of the journal cards to use inside.

On the front of my envelope I cut out a sentiment phase and glued along the bottom and added 49 & Market pink rose. See photo:

On the backside of my journal card, I added a small photo and glued a sentiment below my photo and added acouple small heart stickers. Here's a photo:

Card 3: I I took a scrap piece of paper and one of the Tres Jolie chipboard tickets and butterfly journal card. See photo:

I covered my chipboard ticket with the Admit One ticket image from one of the papers. Glue onto your chipboard piece. Distress any rough edges and apply Distress Ink along the edges. I on my card at the top, I applied some Tim Holtz Cello Tape and glued my Chipboard ticket on top. I added a flower sticker on the front. See photo:

Back of Card: I glued a Flea Market butterfly journal card on the backside of my card. Here's a photo:

# 4 Tag: i took a cardstock tag and cut out the other tag with the blue butterfly from the Flea Market paper. See photo:

I punched out my hole at the top and glued in place. I tied some jute cord through the hole at the top of my tag. Using some Stickles Stardust glitter from my stash, I applied to my butterfly wings. Let dry. Take out one Prima flower and a small pink and white flower from both 49 and Market flower packs. I glued my flowers along the bottom of my tag. I added a butterfly sticker at the top. Using some clear bubble gems i applied in scattered areas on my tag, to resemble water dew drops. See photo:
