Lets Make Some Background Noise!

Hey y'all!  Michelle here and I'm gonna show y'all how to make some background noise using some of the mediums from the April Mixed Media kit!    These are super simple and so much fun to create but the graphic look is so stunning!

I started out with one of the Tres Jolie chipboard pieces and I used it like a stencil (bonus two in one because you can use it like a stencil a few times then use it as the intended chipboard when you are tired of stenciling!).

Grab the Distressed Oxide spray by Ranger and give it a good spray over the stencil.  Just as much or as little as you like until you are happy with the look. You don't even have to cover the entire piece if you prefer that look.

Remove the chipboard and you have a fabulous image with a very artsy graphic, almost graffiti like.  I love it!  I can totally see some pops of fun color on top of this with a fun summer layout or a great background for an 80's party.

Next I used another chipboard piece with a hex pattern as a template and traced the design with the Nuvo Vintage Drops.

This gave great dimension when I removed the chipboard and really gave it a high end raised embossed feeling.

Finally I just did some freehand work with the Nuvo Drops.  I didn't love this one but I may play around with it later and try some circles or other marks.

It was a fun exercise to play with and use some of my mediums and a great way to create some backgrounds for future projects!

I hope you were inspired to create something beautiful today!
