Let it Snow Winter Layout!
Hello Crafters! I'm Dana and back to share my winter themed layout I created using the January Scrapbook kit from Tres Jolie! This month's kit is loaded with 3 Quarter Designs "Christmas Wonderland " papers, chipboards, beautiful flowers from Prima Marketing and Little Birdie, element images to fussycut and even some new A-4 Diecut sheets which I adore! You just punch them out and add to any project you desire. I like to pop them up using foam dots to create dimension! Here's a look at the kit:
To begin I chose one of the beautiful 12x12 papers from this kit, I trimmed away the border strip. I also chose one of the border sentiment pieces to use as the theme of my layout. I went with a winter theme.
I cut apart some of the chipboard pieces. I chose to use the two snowflakes, star and deer. I covered my Star chipboard piece with some Martha Stewart Sterling silver glitter (from my stash)and set aside to dry. For the snowflakes, I applied some clear Versamark ink to my Snowflake and sprinkled some embossing powders "Blue Blaze, and Stampendous Winter Wonderland over the top. Shake off any excess embossing powder and heat with your heat tool. The ink and embossing powders are from my stash. Set aside for now.
From the Diecut sheet I punched out the Snowflake, and Pine tree. From the elements sheets I cut out some leaves and 2 ornament shapes. From my stash I layered my snowflake punched shape on top of each other using foam dots (from my stash) and added acouple silver crystals (also from my stash)in the center of my Snowflakes. The ornament shapes I adhered to my page using foam dots and glued a piece of silver twine to the backside of each ornament. Here's some closeup!
I glued my star and other snowflake on the upper left corner. Here's a peek!
I had these cute Tim Holtz idea-ology paper dolls so I adhered on my layout using foam strips (from my stash) I think they are so cute and add a fun element to your layout! But you could add photos if you desire. Here's a closeup!
To finish my layout I layered some of the flowers in the kit and tucked the little reindeer in between the flower petals! Here's a closeup!
Hope you grab your kit today so you get Scrappin! Thanks for visiting the Tres Jolie blog! We love to see what you create! So please share and check back and see what crafty projects Jeanne, Crystal, and our guest designer Lisa to share!
Until next time, Have a crafty week!
