Layered Sentiment Tags

Hi Craft Friends! Dana here. I'm back to share my last project for the month of April! This month went by so fast didn't it? I'm enjoying the warmer temperatures.

Today I'll be creating some layered tags using the April Card Tags and More kit.

The papers in this kit are from Lemon Craft "Happiness " collection. Such pretty colored backgrounds and florals, with an array of fuzzy cut elements and sentiments perfect for decorating your cards and tags. You also receive some flowers from Scrapberry and Momento bamboo ink! These tags are a great way to use up all your leftover scraps from this kit! Be sure to order yours before they sell out!

I'll be inking my papers and fussy cut elements using the Momento bamboo ink in your kit along with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Gathered Twigs from my stash.

To begin our project, I took some heavy cardboard from my stash and cut 3 tags measuring 3 & 1/2 x 7 inches. Punch holes at the top. Using a corner rounder punch (my stash) I punched a hole at the top of each tag.

Next I chose some patterned papers to cover the base of each tag. My papers measure 3 & 3/8 x 6 inches. I adhered foam tape on the back of each paper before adhering onto my tag base.

Next I fussycut out several images and a few sentiments. Using a scalloped die in my stash, I diecut a scallop circle and Oval shapes.

Tag 1: using foam dots (my stash) I adhered the scallop shape floral circle onto one of the circle element pieces and glued at the top. I added a sentiment in the center, and fussycut lantern image and bow at the bottom. I tied some pink tulle (stash) into a bow and glued a button (my stash) in the center of my bow! At the bottom of my tag, I glued a piece of lace trim (from my stash) and added a few Dazzle stickers to finish my tag Here's a closeup look!

Tag 2: I glued a cluster of  Scrapberry flowers from the kit, at the top along with acouple fussycut Butterflies. Using foam dots I adhered a fussycut rose and leaves elements, sentiment towards the bottom of my tag. I glued a few crystal gems from my stash in scattered areas on my tag. I tied some white tulle into a bow and glued a cute heart gem in the center of my bow (both from my stash) Here's a closeup photo!

Tag 3: using foam dots I glued one of the element floral pieces along the top edge. Then I fussycut out the heart/hands element and adhered with foam dots onto my diecut Oval (die from my stash) then glued at the bottom left side and glued a sentiment at the bottom. I found this Prima bow in my stash, so I glued over my hole at the top of my tag. Then I glued a few enamel shiny mint gems to finish my tag! Here's a photo for you!

I hope you have been inspired and want to order your kit and start creating your own tags and cards. I think a tag makes a nice extra surprise for the recipient to receive. Who doesn't like receiving some Happy Mail!

I hope you check back often to see what our other amazing designers Kim, Jeanne and Crystal have created to inspire you!

Until next month, Happy Crafting!
