January Collaboration w/ Tres Jolie & InkyStamper
Hello Crafty Friends! This week I am excited to share what is happening this month Tres Jolie! We are collaborating with InkyStamper another small business owner this month using their 2023 Monthly Calendar Kit with Tres Jolie's wooden stand. Check out how I created my calendar!
I began by coloring the super cute images that come with this calendar kit, or shall I say I at least tried to color. I used some alcohol markers to color the images. I set them aside then began with the calendar base.
As some of you might know, I absolutely love paper, so when I finish a project and have the left over paper on my craft table, I put them in a zip lock bag in a plastic bin that I put those left over papers in alphabetical order too!
Anyhow, I pulled that bin out and used some of those papers which include, Carta Bella, Crate Paper, Prima Marketing, Graphic 45, Authentique, Ciao Bella, & Craft O' Clock. The colors I chose for each month was based on the strip of pattern paper that came in the kit.
So I cut the selected papers from my stash to size to leave about 1/8th of an inch around the stamped calendar. Before adhering this paper to the calendar I went around the edges and inked it as well as the strip of paper that came with the super cute stamped images. I used a variety of the Tim Holtz Distress inks, Vintage Photo, Seedless Preserves, Victorian Velvet, Shaded Lilac, Wild Honey, Mowed Lawn, Rusty Hinge, Dusty Concord, Worn Lipstick, and Tumbled Glass.
Once I adhered the inked pattern paper, I added a smaller piece on the open space on the calendar, then layered on the piece that came with the individually wrapped stamped images. I then began adding the stamped images to each calendar month using foam dots on some of the images and also adding ephemera, stickers etc. Also placing some stickers on some of the holidays, birthdays. However I am missing a big holidays, Christmas! I noticed when I was taking pics that my sticker fell off!
Lastly I painted the wooden stand from Tres Jolie using some Black acrylic paint from my stash.
I must say that this was a very fun kit to create!
