If I Could Save Time in a Bottle...

Hello again Crafters!

I'm Dana and back to share my last project for the month of November. Today I'll be creating a vintage layout using the Tres Jolie November Scrapbook kit.

This kit features Craft O Clock "Vintage Beauty" collection. This kit is filled with so many vintage florals, and images to fussy cut. And of course beautiful flowers from Little Birdie. It's the perfect go to kit for any scrapbooker!

The title of my layout, is the song lyrics from Jim Croce's song "Time in a Bottle" He was a folk singer back in the early 70's. These lyrics describe what I wish was possible, after loved ones have passed on. If we could only save everyday and relive those moments that were so special.

To begin I chose one of the 12 x12 papers, included in this kit. (Vintage Beauty #6) I cut off the bottom border from the paper. I inked all my fussy cut elements with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Gathered Twigs. (I know I use this Ink often, but it's one of my favorites) Next I chose a heritage photo I wanted to use as my focal point. I love the printed frames on this paper and my photo fit perfectly inside the middle frame. You could add 2 smaller photos if you choose to. The photo I chose, is a picture of my mom, two of my favorite aunties and my beloved grandma. They all have passed away, but I hold them and my memories near my heart. We never really forget our loved ones, do we?

Next I like to do my fussy cutting and decide on a title for my layout. I plan out my placement of my embellishments like flowers, and where I'd like to place my title. I don't glue anything down until I'm satisfied with my placement. The feather I fussy cut and inked. Then slightly bent the feathers to create movement. The chipboard leaves at the top, are included in the kit. I placed and glued one stem behind my fussy cut floral piece. I like to add some Stickles glitter Diamond (from my stash) onto some of the flower petals.

The floral fussy cut images, like the clock and bottle,  I adhered using foam dots (from my stash) this adds dimension to your layout. Here's some closeups!

The metal flower embellishment, is from Prima Marketing Junkyard Findings and was included in a previous Tres Jolie Scrapbook Kit.

The flowers I placed on the bottom edge, below my photo. In addition to the Little Birdie flowers in this kit, I tucked a few Prima flowers from my stash. Then I added some crystal bubble gems (in my stash)in scattered areas on my layout! Here's some more closeups!

I hope you enjoyed my layout project today!  Order your kit today,  gather your treasured photos and start Scrappin!

Until next time, Happy Scrapbooking!
