Holly Jolly Santa Chipboard Album

I'm Dana! I know what a busy time of year it is. But there's always time to do alittle crafting. Today I'll be decorating this cute Santa Chipboard album from Tres Jolie! https://tresjoliekits.com/collections/chipboard/products/holidays

I'm using papers from my crafty stash! The collection is from Carta Bella A Very Merry Christmas! Also from my stash, I'll be using Finnibair Snowflake paste, Distress Ink Gathered Twigs, Distress Texture paste Crackle, pompoms, ribbon, tiny bells. Assortment of acrylic paints in red, green, Metallic gold, and black. Xaco knife and Distress tool, foam dots and tape.
To begin I took my Santa Chipboard front cover and applied red paint to Santa's hat, mouth and suit. On his Mittens I applied green acrylic paint. The belt, boots black acrylic paint. The eyes I colored in with a black marker (my stash)
On Santa's beard I applied Distress Texture paste Crackle. On his fur i appliedsome Finnibair Snowflake pasteusing a stiff brush. Let dry. See photo:
On the end of Santa's hat, I glued a silver/white pompom! Here's a closeup!
Next chose several coordinating papers to cover each base page of your album. Make sure you mark and punch your holes at the top before adhering to your album pages. Taking an xaco knife I trimmed away any excess paper and distressed any rough edges using my Distress tool. Here's some photos!
Now we can decorate our album pages! I love to use a variety of different embellishments.
Page 1 ( back of front cover) I I chose this ephemera piece, scored 1/4 inch on the left side and adhered as a flip page. You could add a photo underneath if you like.
Page 2: I cut a photo mat to 3x2 inches from white cardstock in my stash. Then adhered to the center of my page. Added a photo, a Hey Santa sticker at the top and a puffy sticker Holly on the bottom corner. Here's a closeup!
Page 3: I took one of the Snowflake frames, added a photo behind the frame and adhered using foam dots. I fussycut a Merry Christmas snowglobe and adhered at the top using foam dots, then added a Snowflake sticker, and acouple puffy sticker Snowflakes! Here's a closeup photo!
Page 4: I cut out 5 small journal cards and scored 1/2 inch at the top of each before adhering onto my page. I added a white enamel dot to Santa's tassel on his hat, and cut apart a ephemera sentiment and glued above and below my waterfall cards. Here's a closeup look!
Page 5: I glued a small journal card at the bottom of my page, added a small Holly puffy sticker and ornament sticker at the top! Here's a photo!
Page 6: I fussycut a Christmas tree from one of the papers and adhered on my page using foam dots. I cut out the tiny ornament sentiments, shiny Brite sentiment and adhered to my page. I added a star sticker on the top of my tree and a few enamel dots for ornaments on my tree! Here's some closeups!
Page 7: I cut apart a ephemera sentiment and adhered at the bottom of my page. I added a few tiny enamel dots to my tree. I adhered a puffy sticker Santa above my sentiment. You could add a tiny photo here if you desire.
Page 8: I cut out a Noel journal card and scored 1/2 inch on the left side and glued onto my page. Then applied some candy canes and mistletoe puffy stickers! Here's a photo!
Page 9: I created a flip up page using a ephemera card, scored 1/2 inch and adhered at the top of my page. I added a few Snowflake stickers.
Page 10: Merry Christmas sticker above my photo. I added some puffy sticker ornaments on the upper right corner! Here's a closeup!
My finished pages:
To finish my album project, I added all my album pages onto a metal ring (my stash) then tied some red, silver and green ribbons on my metal ring. Taking some red jute cord I strung 3 Christmas bells and tied onto my metal ring! Here's a closeup look at my album:
