Hello Pumpkin Album in a Box
Hello Craft Friends!
I'm Dana and I welcome you to our Tres Jolie blog! Fall is here and that always brings to mind Pumpkin spice, fall brilliant colors and visits to Pumpkin farms. Today's project we'll be creating a Fall themed Alum in a Box. This month's kit includes Graphic45 Album in a box (Ivory) and beautiful g45 flowers! You're also going to receive Graphic45 "Hello Pumpkin " 8x8 paper pad with 3 sheets of 8 designed patterned papers, Tres Jolie new Autumn Chipboards, including a Mushroom, Gnomes, wheel barrow squirrel and crate. Clear adhesive pockets, Tonic Craft die set and G45 black Card set with Envelopes! Whew! This is the perfect kit to create a keepsake Album, Cards and more!
We will be creating our album first and then the box. I will explain each album page and how I decorated it.
From my stash I'll be using Tim Holtz Distress Ink Gathered Twigs, paper punch, score board, various Smooch inks to color my Tres Jolie chipboard pieces, adhesive tape and foam dots.
To start, I chose a variety of patterned papers from the 8x8 paper pad, and cut at the measurements below. I also will be inking all my papers and embellishments using some Distress Ink.
The Album measures 5x5 x 2 inches and the inside album measures 5x5. For the full album pages I cut my papers to measure 4 & 7/8 x 4 & 7/8 inches. Space above pockets measures 4 & 7/8 x 3 & 3/8 inches. The pocket flap I cut paper to measure 4 & 7/8 x 1 & 1/2 inches.
Page 1 A: Front flap: I cut the backside of Falling Leaves paper 4 & 7/8 x 4 & 7/8 glue in place. I cut a 3 3/4 x 2 inches of Hello Pumpkin paper, adhere as a pocket. I cut a border piece and glued across the top edge of my pocket. Trim off excess border. See photo:
I cut out a small leaf stamp and glued at the top right corner. And cut out a post card and tucked inside my pocket. Here's some photos:
Page 1 B upper inside flap and pocket: I cut a 3/8 x 4 & 3/4 polka dot Orange paper and glued at the top. Pocket flap 1 & 3 /4 x 4 & 3/4 green script paper, glue on pocket flap. Then I cut out a small Pumpkin journal card and glued only on the center pocket flap. I took this Tres Jolie Muchroom chipboard https://tresjoliekits.com/collections/chipboard/products/sports
and colored the leaves with Smooch inks. Then glued to the top left corner on my page. See photo:
Page 2 C bottom pocket page: I adhered my purple plaid paper at the top of my pocket. On the pocket I glued the backside purple patterned paper and glued another border strip along the top edge. I cut out another journal card and tucked inside my pocket. Here's a photo:
Page 3: I adhered Farmer's Market paper to my album page. I fussycut the matching image of the Hello Pumpkin stand
and with foam dots I adhered at the bottom left edge. See photo:
Page 4: I made a flip page. I cut my paper to measure 4 1/4 x 3 & 1/4 inches, score at 1/2 inch on the left side and glue on the left edge. I cut out a small journal card and foam dots I adhered in the center on top of my flip card. I chose to add a photo underneath. See photo:
On the 5: I cut from the Harvest time paper, a piece measuring 4 & 7/8 x 4 & 1/2 inches. Mark the notch at the top with your pencil and cut out. See photo:
If you have a punch you can use that. I created a small tag measuring 2 & 1/2 x 4 & 3/4, punch a hole at the top and tie some jute cord through the hole at the top. I added a photo on the backside of my tag. See photos:
Page 6: I cut another notch at the top with both papers before gluing in place. I cut falling leaves paper to measure 3 & 1/4 x 4 & 7/8 inches. The opposite side I cut my paper to measure 1 3/4 x 4 & 7/8 inches. I used to different pages to make sure I use my scraps up and have enough paper to decorate my box.
Page : 7: I added a photo. Here's a look at my pages:

Page 9: I created a pocket measuring 4 & 7/8 x 2 & 1/4 I cut out another journal card and tucked inside my pocket. I cut out a small stamp and glued on the upper right corner! Here's acouple photos:

Backside page (last) I didn't add anything here. But you add another photo if you desire.
Now set your album aside. Take out your Album box and we can now start decorating it.
Top cover: I covered the top cover with Hello Pumpkin paper cut to 5 & 3/8 x 5 & 3/8 inches. Ink along the edges of your paper and glue in place. Note: Make sure your paper is facing the right way before adhering. See photo:
On the outside edges I cut 3 total pieces from Color me Happy papers (sides of box) to measure 5 & 3/8 x 1 & 7/8 inches. Glue in place. See photo:
Front Magnetic flap I cut my paper to measure 5 & 1/4 x 1 inch. Glue in place. See photo:
Inside Bottom of the box I covered with Orange polkadot paper cut at 5x 5 inches and glued in place. The inside panels I cut 3 pieces measuring 5 x 1& 3/4 inches and glued in place. See photos:
Inside left pocket page: I cut a piece measuring 5 x 3 & 1/2 Harvest time paper. Glue above the pocket. Then cut another paper to 5 x 2 & 3/8 inches. Glue on the front pocket. Be sure to cut out the notch at the top. I tucked a small journal card inside my pocket. On the front pocket, using the Tonic Craft die set in your kit and some cream cardstock from my stash, I diecut my pieces using my diecut machine. Glue the large diecut piece across the front of your pocket. Using the smaller die I diecut a pumpkin from my scraps. Then adhered to the center with foam dots. See photos:
Front Box Cover: I took out one of the Tres Jolie chipboard Gnomes, I painted him using Glitter gel pens and Smooch inks from my stash.
While drying, I fussycut several images of Pumpkins wagon and flowers.
I arranged them on my cover using foam dots for added dimension. I glued the Gnome chipboard piece tucked behind my pumpkin and leaves towards the bottom. I applied some Stickles Stardust glitter (my stash)on my pumpkins and flowers. Then taking a cluster of 49 and Market flowers I glued them on the upper left corner! Here's a closeup photo of my finished box:
Next take your Mini album and using a strong adhesive or adhesive tape (from your stash) attach your album to the inside center. See photo:
Your box should close all the way shut.
Now we are all finished! I hope you'll order your kit or kits today and start creating your own Album box and mini album! I hope we found my blog helpful. Thanks for visiting the Tres Jolie Blog! We so appreciate you!
